Brilliant heater for the price gives out a lot of heat for a small unit. Had a problem with a bulb burning out contacted bargains galore and they sent two bulbs free of charge .

Very good value at less than a tenner. Provides a good amount of warmth and probably one of the most cost effective heaters you can buy. If you just have one bar on which uses 400W this works out at about 12p per hour to use which is great if you're mindful of your bills in these days of ever increasing energy costs. Update to this review. The heater worked fine for three weeks, I only used the bottom bar but then it started to spark in two places and then wouldn't come on at all after that. Even though it's cheap it should last longer than three weeks. Not happy at all. I'll buy a replacement but definitely not this one.

The item is exactly as described, works best in a small room or shed. Its lightweight and gives off a lot of heat, including safety features but I wouldn't leave it on without someone being there. Small and quiet and cheap.

16 days it lasted, being used occasionally as a backup heater on a timer for 3 x one hour intervals, only actually on 5 or 6 days during a recent cold snap. Today I noticed the bottom 400w bar had already failed. This is the only one I have used. Checked to see if I put it on the full 2 bar 800w setting if anything happened and yes, the top bar still works (as shown in attached photo). For how long, who knows? Seemed too good to be true and it is. Too much faff to return. Will just have to take the £13 hit. Shame, because it is a dinky design and did it's job, all be it for not very long. Do not recommend. Update. NOV 2025. One year after purchase and one week after beginning occasional winter use with the remaining working bar, the heater has now failed completely.

Smaller than thought but it provides comfort for my husband who has dementia and likes it in his small man room. He loves the glow and I love the safety value it comes with. And in these hard times these Halogens are cheap as chips to run

Excellent little low cost heater that can warm a small room, or good for some direct heat. But be prepared for it not being a long life item, as the elements are not long lasting. Using on the 400w setting until that element dies, and then on to setting number 2 for the other element, and it may be a 'one winter' item, and buy another next year. Using one element alone keeps the running cost low, and provides a bit of 'top up' heat. Good safety feature in that it turns off if knocked over.
