Cheap materials. Not worth the money

I got these for my deck pillows, but they ended up being a bit too small for that, so I've got one as an end table next to a chair that didn't have one, and the other will be the same unless I can figure out what else to do. They came pre-built, which was a relief, because I hate building things myself. But they aren't well stained, so you'll see lighter areas and darker, esp. around the X sides. The top also appeared to be layered wood, and the sides of that aren't covered, so you can clearly see the layers. So they don't look finished. I wanted these brown one's because I have a lot of brown furniture and thought my look was rustic, but not quite to this extent. I may try painting them white, because it's pretty obvious how uneven the stain is. And today I just picked off something that had gotten caught in the stain, and it was raw wood under. Like a bug landed on it and was just varnished over. One coat is all they gave the stain. And as I said in the headline, when I looked inside, I could see light through one of the corners where it wasn't well joined. I don't know. You can't really put weight on these, like for a seat, or I wouldn't risk it. But what to put in them? Newspapers, books, not really big enough for pillows or blankets for your sofas. Maybe you could use it as dorm room furniture or storage. Not really nice enough for a regular living room in the finish I chose. And not weather proof so you can't use them outdoors. It's like someone started a project (like me!) but didn't finish it. Might work with polyurethane, or another coat or stain or a coat of paint. Right now, I'm just trying to figure it out. They are wooden boxes, that's the best I can say.

I imagined the boxes would be bigger for being priced at $130. They’re pretty but I’m not sure I can store very much in these. The white ones don’t seem to come fully coated in paint, some paint is worn which I’m not sure if it’s the look they tried going for or if this is a quality issue. I choose to look at it as a nice rustic addition to my room. However, the wood glue they used doesn’t seem to be strong enough to hold the panels together, as I received one that came apart on the side.

Love how multi-functional these are! There was no assembly needed, which was a HUGE bonus. The color and finish of the wood is great, good materials and well-made. My ONLY complaint has nothing to do with the product and everything to do with the packaging - the styrofoam used got EVERYWHERE when unboxing and it was a pain in the arse to get all the tiny little pieces OUT of the boxes. No issues or complaints other than that though!

These are super cute boxes, and quite large. They come fully assembled, which was great.The boxes are made of press board. Like, the really hard laminated version of cardboard. The trim pieces on the outside are actual wood. There's no metal on these.These are very sturdy and look great. I keep them in my living room. I have an entire hand weight set stored in the largest one. They are sturdy enough to use as tables or seats. However, the edges are square and they're not really a very comfortable seat.

These boxes were a great addition to our room.

Absolutely stunning! Very well made, and excellent quality. They’re perfect sizes, heavy, and absolutely beautiful. The wood is solid, and finished very nicely. There were no visible flaws. They look amazing withbour farmhouse decor. Definitely worth the price!
