Car Mount

This little holder feels like something Lexus might sell as an accessory. It easily clips onto one of your air vent louvers, and holds well. You place your phone into the holder, squeeze the two side supports in, and the phone is snugly held in place by the foam pieces attached to the sides and bottom. When it's time to remove the phone, there's a little button on the rear of the holder that slowly releases the side arms. Yes, that's right: the side supports are evidently hydraulically damped. That's very cool. I'm quite happy with this item.The one thing to keep in mind, that applies to all vent-mounted holders, is that some louvers flop back and forth quite easily, especially when there's the weight of a phone attached to one of the louvers a few inches out. My car's louvers do that, and I've had to stuff something in between the louvers to keep them from flopping. But that's the car, nothing to do with this holder.

I bought this after reading the great reviews on Amazon but was completely dissatisfied with it.Not sure if the product sent was defective but I received two separate pieces . (See pic attached)When I tried attaching them to my car vent , they fell off instantaneously.I wanted to return it but by that time I realized the return date had gone by. The product is now uselessly lying in my garage.If someone from the company’s willing to fix/replace this, I’ll appreciate the offer.

DO NOT BUY. It does not hold well & after 2 months of use, it broke. I had to keep tightening it which is why I think it broke in the first place. Maybe just wasn't that compatible with my car, but either way, I wouldn't buy this again. Luckily I didn't lose out on a ton of money.UPDATED as of 8/6/18Though I still wouldn't necessarily buy the product again, the customer service team reached out to me right after I posted this review. They were extremely accommodating & willing to either refund my money or send a brand new replacement. I chose the refund and within a couple of days, saw the funds back in my account. They checked on me again about a month later to confirm I did in fact receive the refund. So not a stellar product but INCREDIBLE customer service. Bumped up my review from a 1 start to a 3 just based on the customer care.

I've been skeptical about buying a car mount because I did not want to purchase one that had to stick to the glass or my dashboard. I'm very pleasantly surprised with this model. It fits easily in the vents of my car and has been very functional. My favorite feature is the quick release button in the back. If I need to pick up my device for any reason I just push that button and it releases my phone quick and easy. I also have a fairly large case on my phone because I like to keep credit cards in my case and have had no issues with this model holding the size and weight of my phone. This past weekend I used my phone mainly for directions and being able to have it mounted was so much easier than trying to navigate without one. I would recommend this product.

I like the concept and the ability to tighten up. After about a month, I had to tighten it up and the jaws on the clip broke off since it is a cheap plastic clamp. The rest of it is pretty good, but the weakness is in the connection. Therefore I cannot give this a good rating and was very disappointed that it broke so easily.

I had been looking for a mount for my Samsung Galaxy S9+ that would fit in the weird vents in my car. The vents are vertical and there are only 3 slats. I previously had the magnetic type mount and I couldn't get the grip to slide in very far, so that wasn't going to work. I've tried mounts like this before, but the grip is usually smooth and will fall off over time. This one had some "teeth" on it, so it really seems to hold! I wanted to have my phone mounted for navigation on a road trip, and this mount did very well! You can tilt and rotate to the angle that works best for you. So far I've had it over 2 months and haven't needed to tighten the grip yet! The only couple of cons I can see are that I wish the bottom stuck out a little further and the 2 tabs sat further apart, could be a little more stylish (looks a little old fashioned), and if they could design some openings on the back so that the air can still circulate, that would be a good idea. But otherwise, works well for its intended purpose!

This is one of the best values I've found. Holds my iPhone, and I can take it with me when I travel, to use in rental cars. I do wish it bent upwards a bit more... as it tends to pull the vents down.. but all things considered, it's low cost and works well. I've been using it for a few months, traveled with it, and it's holding up fine. But if/when it breaks, I'd buy another one in a second.

This holder has a release button on the lower back of the holder. When you put the phone in the holder, the weight of the phone makes the lower back of the holder sink into the vent. This means the release button immediately gets pressed. It would work if the release button were literally anywhere else. I have no idea how a design like this could have gotten through even one test use.
