I LOVE this thing. I have multiple water bottles and tumblers but wanted something for when we are out and about to keep a 16-ounce bottle cool. We live in Arizona, so bottles get warm quickly in the summer. This thing keeps them cold enough to drink them during our outings. While my go-to is Diet Dr Pepper, I do get other things, from time to time. This thing fits everything. The rubber cover may need some time to stretch to fit the cans, but it will get there, and it holds them in place nicely. It does fit in my cupholder but doesn't go all the way down. It is enough to keep it place, however. I have never turned a corner and had to go after my Frost Buddy because if flew out during the turn. I love this thing and probably will end up getting another one when I find a design that I cannot resist.

This thing is HUGE & quality!! It doesn’t fit in any cup holders. It has to be placed on the table/floor/lap. It keeps your drinks ice cold or warm whatever you need. I keep In freezer at all times but have soaked in hot water before using it as a tumbler for coffee with purchasing the optional extra tumbler lid/straw. I attached Pictures of the difference in regular size (10in1) and the XL (12in1). These are the Espresso color. To be honest I use The regular size more often camping, hanging with friends, on the boat & floating. The XL is just awkward. But if you drink the huge cans this would be for you!

This is unbelievable. Keeps drinks cold for ever. A couple hours after opening your drink you would think you just pulled it from the refrigerator.

EDIT 02/24/2024 – I’m bumping this up a star because after a few months of use I feel like it works SO well with my go-to 20 oz. G-Zero bottles that the tight fit of the 16 oz. Monster cans was over-emphasized in my initial review. I also inadvertently discovered that the painted finish on it is ridiculously durable after accidentally dropping it on a rough concrete sidewalk and finding only a few minor scratches. I’m impressed enough with this cooler that I ultimately purchased a second one when it went on a sale here in the middle of January with the intent of stretching and ‘training’ one of the lids to fit my Monster cans more easily (as well as to have a spare cooler). After a few uses with the cans I found that the lid indeed does fit them well now, but also confirmed my initial theory that it seems to permanently stretch the lid slightly, making it a teensy bit sloppy on the 20 oz. bottles. Taken as a whole though I think this thing is pretty great and easily worthy of four stars.Original review:I notice Frost Buddy seems to have merged this new “Universal Buddy XL Bottle Cooler” item with their discontinued “Big Buddy Bottle Cooler and Cocktail Shaker.” It makes it a bit harder to make an informed decision since the vast majority of the current reviews are about the old version (which I’d tried previously and returned for other reasons), but I’m here to review the new one that just became available and is advertised in this listing.Overall, I LOVE this drink cooler, but it doesn’t quite live up to the marketing. The build quality and construction seem quite nice, with a rubberized base and attractive finish (I went with the matte black). Most importantly though, it definitely keeps my bottled drinks colder for HOURS longer than the old cheap neoprene foam coolers I’d been using before. The only issue I have is with the advertised compatibility touted in the marketing, but it’s a significant issue for me.My daily drink of choice is Gatorade G-Zero (20 oz. bottle), but I also occasionally want a boost and will go with a Monster Ultra energy drink (16 oz. can). Both of these containers are listed as compatible with the cooler. The Gatorade bottle fits PERFECTLY with the “short” lid and no insert and has met or exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The bottle fits perfectly and the lid tightens down just right to secure the bottle from jiggling around while still being easy to use. However, my 16 oz. Monster can, when using the included insert (oriented properly) and the appropriate short lid is extremely difficult to tighten down without exerting quite a bit of force to stretch out the rubber of the lid enough to allow the threads between the ‘jar’ and lid portions of the cooler to catch and tighten. It’s arduous enough that I fear using it repeatedly with a 16 oz. can will stretch the rubberized lid to the point that it either rips, or that it’ll deform and no longer fit my Gatorade bottles properly. The “tall” lid is useless for either container.For me this item is still a keeper since it handles my primary Gatorade bottle quite well, but for the sake of safety I’m not using it for my 16 oz. cans, which is too bad (and is the reason for the reduced star rating). I feel like it could be perfect with just a couple tweaks, but as it is currently designed I wouldn’t consider it a good fit for the 16 oz. cans it’s marketed to accommodate. I’d really hoped I’d found a good “universal” cooler for my usual drinks, especially at this kind of premium price point, but I guess it wasn’t to be.

One of the best things you can buy.. it absolutely keeps your drink cold for hours. It’s perfect for parents to take to sports or just for everyone to have to take to cookout and family outings. This would also be a perfect gift.

I was looking for a good koozie when I lost my old one. Since I drink everything from regular cans to tall cans, glass bottles and water bottles, Gatorade and skinny cans, this drink holder’s capacity is perfect for every drink. I won’t have to have different sizes for different drinks, which makes it a really good value for the price. Built solid, it keeps my cold drinks cold even in 90 degree weather by the pool. Lots of colors to choose from but I got white so I could add decals and make the design my own.

The Frost Buddy definitely lives up to the hype. It can hold several different styles and sizes of cans and bottles. Very durable and keeps drinks cold for hours.

The Frost Buddy Universal Can Cooler does exactly what it promises — it keeps drinks cold for hours and fits multiple sizes of cans and bottles. The build quality feels solid and well made.That said, it’s big. For me, it was bulky and uncomfortable to carry around. It felt more like hauling a thermos than a drink holder, and that made it cumbersome to use day-to-day.In the end, I returned it. If portability isn’t a concern and you don’t mind the extra size, it could be a great option. But for me, it just wasn’t practical.
