Drilled 5” hole easily. Do not use with hammer function.
Drilled a 5” hole in my poolside concrete to install an anchor for a pool basketball goal. This drill did an amazing job. I took my time and used a hose to wash and cool the concrete while I drilled. It took about 30 minutes.DO NOT USE THE HAMMER FUNCTION.Core drill bits with diamond cutting edge cannot be used with the hammer function. It chips off the diamond dust. You can only do that with the hardened alloy core drills.

Worked great on 9" foundation.
The media could not be loaded. This diamond core drill bit worked great to drill two holes through a 9" concrete foundation. I need to relocate the oil fill and whistle pipes for our oil tank and was going to have someone drill the holes in addition to repiping. The cost of drilling was very high so I decided to do it myself with this bit and a $50 1/2 drill I picked up. The drill bit was really great and I got both holes drilled in just over an hour. I had never used this type of bit before so didn't know what I was in for, but this bit worked great and I'm very happy with the results. Saved a lot of money doing it myself and now have a 1/2 inch drill and coring bit for future projects. Nice, high quality bit. Comes with two adapters. I'm not sure if you can use this with a hammer drill or not. Read the description thoroughly to see. Also, if you haven't done this before, the bit will (like any bit) bind at times and with a high torque drill will spin the drill violently, so be careful how you hold it. Don't use your belly to press the drill. The bit also does not require water, but water helped to clear out the dust from the hole which seemed to keep things moving along more smoothly and faster, though the hollow core bit does have slots to let the dust fall out. Really happy I was able to use this to do these holes myself.

Works well
with some water got me through my slab twice and will probably be re-used again some other time. Did this with just a battery operated drill and not a huge drill but you should definitely use this with a guide handle on your drill or risk going to urgent care with a broken wrist....it can kick when it hits wire mesh, rebar, or rock changes.

Worked well even with larger rock mixed concrete.
I only needed to drill one 2” hole into a solid poured step with larger than normal rock mixed concrete but zero problems going down 9” with this bit. Cut clean and smooth in 1/2 drive drill. Might never need again but well worth the money just for one hole. Seems plenty left on bit to drill several more holes if needed.

Not Recommended
I had to drill two 1-1/8” holes from one side in older concrete block (8” CMU) for 3/4” conduit. The holes were located to go across the cores (not filled) so it should be a fairly simple task. Even so, I bought two bits in-case one got worn down. After an hour with my plug-in SDS drill in rotary only on low speed and me and a helper taking turns to keep it pressed into the hole, both bits eventually became unusable after coring only one hole and part of the second. For contrast I finished the job with a big name diamond hole saw - the kind marketed for tile. It cut right through the last block with a beautiful hole in just a couple of minutes using only my battery drill and hardly any effort. I felt pretty dumb for spending time using this core bit.

Good quality but didn't go the distance.
Good quality but didn't go the distance.I was able to get most of the way through the foundation before the end of the bit fell apart. The foundation was approx 10" thick. The bit worked quickly in getting 8"-8.5" through before the teeth broke off.It was pretty impressive up to that point and I do realize that I may have been asking too much from it.

Like a knife through butter!
100% as advertised. Cut through my 8" foundation with ease. Getting started was a little tricky but once the initial ring is created it just bores right through.

Very good value, did the job
I used this for two holes through my cinder block basement wall. I actually thought it was 8inch blocks but turned out to be 10 so glad I got this.I went through the hollow sections of the block and removed the chunk of cement between sections. I used a regular 20v drill and it was somewhat slow going but certainly could tell it was moving gradually without a lot of pressure.Even if I don't use it again, it's a great deal. Very happy with the results. It was a little difficult getting the initial bite of the wall, it wanted to walk a little bit once I was in it stayed straight.
