Great knife, great price, great seller

great hunting knife well made and veary sturdy the edge is still sharp havent sharpend it since i got it and thats nearly a year and a half ago but i also havent used it for any thing other then cutting rope

The knife itself isn’t bad. Not super high quality but also not a cheap piece of metal that will fail you.My issue is with the sheath. If the knife isn’t in exactly, the snap over the handle will not reach. I know it’s a minor thing, however when I’m out in the woods I don’t want to have to struggle and focus my attention getting the knife secured.I would recommend and suggest finding a better sheath solution.

Great grip design.➽ The Sheath:⦁ The sheath is actually decent, it made well w/ qualitynylon materials plus it has a small pocket built-in on thefront that would accommodate a small sharpening stoneperfectly, for example.⦁ However, I do feel that the sheath doesn't really suitthis style of blade and knife as well as it should or couldhave. various points of the blade tends to get caughtup on it sometimes. Still it does work and it covers theblade, as it should.➽ Price at Time of Review: $19.99➽ Dislikes / Issues:⦁ The only real issues that I have is w/ the sheath itself.The blade sometimes gets caught on the sheath whenit's being it remove and when the blade is reinsertedinto the sheath.⦁ The snap strap can be somewhat fussy and awkwardto re-snap it due to the way it's made.✪➽ OVER-ALL:⦁ I really like this knife a lot. Ok, let’s get into it. This is the type of knife that knife guys love to hate on. I admit that I might had felt a bit like hating on it too. Then it showed up and I gave it a look over. I’m more impressed than I expected being. Of course there are things I dislike about it. The sheer number of reliefs, notches, and lanyard holes nearly ruins this knife from the outset. Anytime metal is removed a chance for cracking increases and this blade has a lot of metal carved out. However most of the contours are sufficiently rounded over; but remain unnecessary. The steel isn’t going to impress anyone but 440 steel is a popular economical knife steel and titanium coating is a well known way to increase toughness on this soft steel. Regardless the steel will take a good edge easily but it won’t last long. Lastly the advertisement for this knife as a bushcraft/survival knife is laughable. The knife stock is too thin and the blade geometry is not useful for wilderness applications. Now, let’s look at what I find surprising. The nylon sheath is as good or better as any knife in this price range. It is secure, has a small pouch, is well constructed and has molle straps on the back for multiple mounting configurations. Secondly, the crazy blade design; really isn’t all that crazy. Of course it’s odd but it is a knife designed for a dedicated application. Considering that, the serrations, thin stock, trailing point, compound grinds and aggressive swedge all begin to make sense. In fact, the grooves in the contoured G10 handles and exposed hilt of the full tang make perfect sense. As a testament I included a comparison picture demonstrating a very similar shape on a well known and respected self defense knife. Considering the knife in that light it’s easier to see the value. The workmanship leans into the aggressive nature and makes more sense. The trailing point and canted handle naturally align the wrist. The deep swedge narrows stock behind the tip to a near needle point. While the complex grinds provide multiple cutting surfaces while leaving as much stock as possible behind the cutting edge. The blocky serrations don’t appear useful for sawing or notching but would open jagged tears. If one can overlook the obvious absurdities of the faux choils and “bottle openers” and too stiff retention strap; a case can be made that this is a reasonably nice defensive tool.
