I did a ton of research trying to determine whether to buy a side step or a side bar. From what I read, the side bar was going to offer a greater step down, or an easier step into the truck. Better overall drop than a side step. The installation went fine. I could tell there was some minor overall distortion from the welding of the brackets and steps so all of the holes in the side bars brackets didn't line up perfectly to the truck but they were close enough to install the bolts and draw them up slowly. I installed the bars myself but it would have helped a lot to have a second person hold them in place. Once installed, they work fine. The step into the truck is excellent. Perfect height and the step has all sorts of grip to keep you from slipping. Getting in is great and exactly what we wanted. Now, getting out...is ok but not great. When you get in your foot just knows where to go. When you get out, the long large diameter tube that runs the length of the doors bulges out just enough that its awkward to use the steps when exiting the truck. My foot just seems to always hit that tube before making it to the step. So, when I get out of the truck I rarely use the steps. We have two golden retrievers. One has figured out how to use the steps and get into the truck. The other figures out the step about 25% of the time. Finish wise, I do like the appearance and texture of the paint. I do see what others mean when they said the finish scratches easily. It does. If in a climate with lots of salt that will likely be a problem. Lastly, I ordered from AMAZON since most of the other places had really long shipping times. As usual, AMAZON shipped it fast and I was able to install it prior to our camping trip. High quality. Nice side bar with a good step to help you get into the truck.

First and foremost I’d like to recognize the tremendous endeavor it took to package these runningboards in a matter that would ensure they were delivered in pristine condition. I can’t state this enough but the packaging was well above what I normally expect from something ordered online and protected the runningboards perfectly.The installation took less than an hour and I was actually able to use the factory hardware to attach the runningboards without issue. The included hardware is more than adequate to attach these runningboards if you don’t have the factory installed ones, but I opted to use those instead.Installation took less than about an hour without the need to raise the truck off the pavement. For my specific 2015 model all that was required was a 10 mm Socket/ratchet.I live in Northeast Northeast and they use tons of chemical treatments for our roads so do yourself a favor and before you reinstall your hardware use some anti-seize lubricant you’ll thank me down the line.

Definitely better cost than the factory option and they look great!. Easy to install, but it did take some brute strength to get the end bolts to line up correctly on the ends. Once that was figured out the other side went on no problem. Use a jack stand or a helper to hold one end up, you'll definitely need it. UPS did their best to make sure the box was destroyed when I got it, but they were wrapped tightly and protected by foam so there was no damage to the bars themselves. All the short-legged people in the family find it much easier to get in and out of the truck now!

I just installed these today, so I cannot yet speak to the durability. I will update this review if I have problems on that aspect. What I can speak to are the delivery, install and look. Delivery was easy — it came in a single large box, two single-piece steps (one for each side), a bag of bolts and washers. Install was pretty easy and I was able to do it myself. It would be easier to do with two people, but it’s not required. Each set of steps takes 8 bolts (16 total). My Tundra has existing threaded holes for these bolts. I finger-tightened 8 bolts on each side of the truck, then torqued to 20 foot-pounds using a torque wrench. I went from in the box to done in under 30 minutes. These seem to be solid quality. The steps themselves are the perfect size and they seem to be perfect from a functional standpoint. The look is really good too! I think they enhance the beefiness for sure. All in all, I’m very happy with them!

These are not cheap, but they are Stainless Steel tubing, steps, and welds. Textured Maa as the Black finish and look better in my opinion than any other brand.Amazon Guys that delivered them were polite and friendly while I opened my package while they watched to check things out.I was blown away with how well these were packaged!Installed and happy!Recommended and Amazon guys need a bonus!

Great quality out of the box. 45 minute install solo, would have been 20 minutes with an extra set of hands. Bolts right on to the factory undercarriage of your Year/model Tundra without any sawing/drilling/etc. Highly recommend!

One of the running boards was not packaged properly (it looks like someone returned it); as such the mounting brackets were scratched up exposing bare metal; one of the welds was only partially painted; no locking washers were provided (missing hardware); some of the brackets have fitment issues (the holes don't line up very well with my truck); and one of the provided bolts snapped inside the thread (just wonderful).What should have been something like a 1 hour install instead took me a whole afternoon. Since it would've been a hassle to return this, I decided to paint the exposed metal areas and just do the install without the locking washers. However, I had a heck of a time getting some of the holes to line up. Worst part though is when one of the bolts broke when I was tightening it. I didn't want to overtighten the bolts so I was using a torque wrench to the specified value found in the manual when I heard a loud pop sound--great--just great.If it were just one issue, I wouldn't sweat it, but taken together, I regret purchasing this product. If I had to do it all over again, I'd go American. I should've known better.

Super easy to install, better looking and better priced than the OEM options.
