Positive Grid Spark GO 5W Ultra-Portable Smart Amp & Speaker – Pearl

I have a travel guitar that, I used to use a lot but the honey tone amp ate batteries, the set up breakdown time was annoying and the sound quantity disappointing, so I mostly stopped using it. I ordered this amp with low expectations but after playing with it I couldn’t wait to endorse it: I love this amp! Great sound, great build quality nice and compact. The app has one common feature I don’t Ike but is very powerful. Feature I don’t like: different amps and mixers are skeuomorphic forcing you to interact with pictures of physical Amps. Feature I love: you can play a track and have the app lift the guitar settings an apply them to your guitar. Volume is surprisingly strong and clean and distortion free. By far the best electric guitar accessory I’ve gotten in years. One physical complaint. I wish there was a way to have a rigid connection the the guitar. I bought a male male amp adapter hoping I can attach the amp right to the amp port (although this will face the speaker towards me rather than out). Ps - also doubles as a high quality Bluetooth speaker.

Love this thing. Saw youtube videos from 3yrs ago complaining about connection issues and firmware updates. Mine connects fine so far, and I just went with the firmware it already has, as it works amazing as is. I just use it to practice out in my yard and the sound is perfect for that. Do not expect hi fi. Put it on a 'Hendrix' setting and it sounded better than what I get out of my amps-as I just don't get involved with pedal or amp tweeking-I've just set them and play as is as their intricacies just don't interest me. I want to spend time playing. This thing though added that slap back or momentary echo after hitting a chord and was just...perfect. It was a lo fi mini version, so SOUND is not better than my amps, but the vibe was just so fun and a surprise from this little thing. Glad I got it. So far, so easy.

Love this little amp. Has built in tuner and available backing tracks. The ai feature will create a backing track for any melodies or riffs that you play.. The sound is great. High quality and clear. Perfect for practicing and jamming in the living room. Loud enough to hear and enjoy but won’t disturb your neighbors! Haven’t explored all the effects yet but what I have explored, I love!! Where has this been all my life?!? For the price, it’s a treasure!!

Nothing beats this. In all ways you can think of. Price for the product is absolutely awesome. Its so conveniently portable. Easy to hook up. Want to show off at a party? This thing fits in your pocket. I could list so many things Ive done with this little amp my review would end up a novel. Get the thing. If you are looking for a practice amp you can jam woth, has a tuner, a plethora of community made amp tones, AI made amp tones, AI drummer to jam with... seriously I could go on for days. Buy it. If you arent satisfied with it Ill pay for your refund myself😂

The Positive Grid amps have been getting great reviews in the guitar press. I’ve been tempted to buy one for travel and back porch jamming use, and the GO was cheap enough for me to finally do so. The pluses: - It’s very tiny, small enough to fit in a guitar case or gig bag pocket. - it has a wide range of sounds - it’s easy to modify the sounds with the app - the app includes a play-along function that allows you to jam with mp3s or make up your own backing track on the fly. - battery life is excellent - it’s also an excellent Bluetooth speaker The minuses: - it’s not very loud. While it claims a 5 watt output, that 5 watts is limited by a 2” speaker. Most of my acoustic guitars are louder - you need to use the app to get decent sounds. While there are four built-in sounds that can be used without the app, I found that two of them weren’t very useful to me. - As a bass guitar amp it’s only useful with headphones. Should you buy it? If minimum size and cost are the most important factors in making your choice, absolutely. But for $100 or so more, the Spark Mini delivers a lot more volume and low end, and the new Blackstar Beam might be even better.

Great little amp for sitting on the porch and annoying the neighbors lol. It’s perfect for practice anywhere and sounds pretty good. I just sat down with it and the app, the app is great and there are way plenty options. You can even pick a song and play along with it at varying speeds. This can replace a few other apps too. The price is a little high considering I purchased a real amp for not too much more, but I am still giving 5 stars. Good job guys!

Honestly, I bought this little amp, thinking that I would give it a try and probably return it. But, once i got my hands on it and gave it a listen, there is no way I’m returning this. I love everything about this product: - Small, light and portable. I bring it with me almost everywhere (with guitar and cable in back of my car). - Very rugged and well built and feels solid - It can get surprisingly loud yet is very clean and clear. - Stellar battery life - Headphone jack for quiet playing - It functions as an audio interface on my Mac! - It functions as a Bluetooth speaker for my phone. …and most importantly, the guitar tones on this thing are FABULOUS. From lovely reverb and delay to gritty crunch and distortion, plus amp modelers and eq. My guitar has never sounded better. And to top it off, it not only comes with four tones preset into the hardware (which you can overwrite if you like), but their free mobile app gives you dozens more tones AND you can download, at no cost, additional tones from users in their cloud based community. I’ve loaded up my app with SO many useful tones, created by others. I’m not being asked nor compensated in any way for this review. I’m just passionate when I find great, killer products like this. I'm a old school tube guy. Got more amps than I need and I'm pretty particular about my gear. However, I saw where Positive Spark Grid released this GO earlier this spring. I got in for the introductory price of $100. I figured at the very least, it's portable. I was knocked out by the versatility of this 2" speaker. The app and the amp are fantastic for bedroom jamming. You can find any sound and tweak that sound to your heart's delight. I loved mine so much that I bought an extra for my son and he's knocked out. I'm 100% positive there are tons of folks out there who are particular too about their amps. However, for $120 bucks, you get a WHOLE lot more than what you should. Such a great versatile tool. Doubles as a Bluetooth speaker too so you can jam along with YouTube or Spotify or your own saved iTunes music. This is a great piece of equipment for the price. Sounds like a real tube amp at a fraction of the volume needed for a vintage Fender or Marshall. One more thing, I would recommend that you purchase some wireless transmitters though. The input jack for a standard guitar cable works just fine but it has a tendency to fall over if the cable moves. I bought a Lekato 5.8 mgz transmitter/receiver set that works great. I use it with a blues harmonica, and it exceeded all my expectations. I can only recommend it!

Vraiment le meilleur truc que j'ai jamais eu de ma vie. On peut jouer partout quand on veut. Très léger, petit on peut même le mettre dans sa poche. On peut l'utiliser en tant qu'une simple enceinte ordinaire. Mais c'est un véritable ampli connecter avec sur batterie et qui dure longtemps. Sur l'application il y a plein d'effets. Clairement pour le prix c'est extrêmement correct. Avec un ampli classique où on voudrait y ajouter des effets ça aurait clairement coûter plus cher (Et ça aurait pris une place pas possible chez soi). Alors que là on a tout dans une seule enceinte. Accompagné d'un son de très bonne qualité. Moi qui aime bien jouer 10min par-ci par-là de temps en temps tout au long de la journée. Vu que c'est sur batterie et que les effets sont déjà dedans. Pas besoin de faire d'installation ou de branchement à chaque fois et de tout ranger 10 minutes après. (Si vous êtes comme moi c'est si je vous faut mdrr) Qualitatif, simple et efficace !!! C'est exactement ce que je recherchais Sans parler du design de l'ampli, qui est vraiment super jolie et les matières sont agréables et m'ont l'air de durée dans le temps (Il fournissent 2 pièces supplémentaires pour modifier le look à notre goût). Extrêmement ravi je recommande à 1000%

questa cassa mi ha lasciato assolutamente senza parole, è bellissima ha un uscita audio incredibile un applicazione perfetta per poter cambiare tutti gli effetti alla chitarra/basso e in più ci permette di collegare il telefono via bluetooth per poter mettere una base musicale e poterci suonare sopra, inoltre è possibile utilizzarla anche come cassa per riprodurre brani e la batteria dura veramente molto. Il volume è perfetto, e mettendolo al massimo suona veramente in maniera potente, unica nota un po' negativa è l'uscita per le cuffie, infatti se volessimo suonare e far uscire l'audio dalle cuffie invece che dalla cassa perché magari è notte o non possiamo fare troppo rumore saremo costretti ad utilizzare delle cufiette con ingresso jack 3.5mm che ormai sono obsolete è vecchie, capisco però che è difficile poter collegare ad esempio delle cuffie bluetooth per via del fatto è possibile collegare il telefono così e quindi ci sarebbe bisogno di due canali per collegare due cose diverse ed è sia difficile da realizzare sia farebbe aumentare di molto il costo, diciamo che se avesse però avuto un ingresso usb-c invece che il vecchio jack sarebbe stato molto più apprezzato, per il resto prodotto eccezionale economico e di alta qualità

The wow factor of this is the amp and effects unit. It does what it's supposed to, which is make your guitar sound fantastic. The phone app is easy to use and includes a nice tuner feature as well as a massive selection of effects. The sound through headphones is incredible and it's really a perfect headphone practice box, though it does have a decent speaker. Spark will tell you all about the AI features, and the ability to play backing tracks, and that works well, but we wary ... some of the features come with an extra cost. The audio reproduction from this tiny amp+speaker is very good. Volume is great for the size and the quality is decent. It's not directly comparable to an Apple speaker or similar as it's not attempting 3D sound - it's just a good mono speaker. I've had a few devices like this, and none of them sounded as good, either through headphones, on built-in speaker, or into a power-amp. Setup is easy, though the setup guide is poorly presented. It comes with two face plates so you can have fabric look or black, and a choice of straps. Everything feels rugged, solid and robust, no loose plastic or cheap controls. The base is rubberized to stay put and damp any rattles from sitting on a desk or floor. If I have one tiny complaint, it's that it can be a little slow to negotiate a bluetooth connection, and you have to manually make the phone-app reconnect each time you power the unit on. Other than that, it punches way above its weight and easily knocks out the "usual" competitors. Spark are the boss of the phone-app-driven amp segment right now. I've heard the Spark 2 and that encouraged me to buy this with confidence. Obviously, these things don't sound quite like a big cabinet plus a high-end valve amp, but they are eerily good for the size and money.
