As expected

I have struggled to write this review, as I do like the product as a general cleanser, but not at all as a product to remove cosmetics. As it is being marketed as the latter, I decided to focus on its performance (or lack thereof) in this regard and star it accordingly.I tried this several times as the first step in a double cleanse, but did not find it to be at all effective for makeup removal. It does apply easily and turns wonderfully milky when water is introduced; I love the way it feels as I massage it, and it rinses cleanly enough. Unfortunately, it only partially removed my foundation--even when I experimented with different types--and barely touched my mascara or eye liner.I wanted to like this, truly I did...and it does do a decent job as an AM cleanser when I've no makeup to remove. That is not its stated purpose, however, and I cannot enthusiastically recommend it as such.

This oil cleanser by Origins feels nice on the skin and works well for double cleansing. Make sure to give it a good shake to mix up the layers before each use! I like to apply with my bare fingers as a makeup remover first, along with a quick splash of water to "milkify" it. Then I follow up wiith a gentle facial cleanser and final rinse to remove any remaining residue. I love the scent, and my face feels clean without overdrying.

Seriously a game changer in my face routine for PM routine. Helps me with left over makeup I missed taking off and is perfect oil cleanser. Highly highly recommend!!!!

Light smelling, not too strong. If you're happier with a lighter scent this can be up your alley. As a cleanser it was decent, but not the best one I've ever used. YMMV with the type of makeup you're using though. It was easy to remove with soap from my hands post-cleanup and didn't leave any residue. It didn't leave my (face) skin drier than usual but I would recommend following up with some sort of moisturizer, since that's good habit to have anyway. Not sure if I would get this again given the multitude of other products out there that do a better job cleaning, but this was definitely not an unpleasant experience to use.

This oil cleanser was suggested to me by Origins because they stopped making 3 Part Harmony. (Why do they stop making the best things that actually work????) It is the worst purchase of their products I've ever made. It does nothing to clean your face and the oil smells like old cooking oil. Horrible, do not waste your money.

This Origins milky makeup cleanser is really nice and it works just as well as the makeup remover products that I've used regularly from other brands for years. You need to shake the bottle each time you use it to fully mix the product before applying it to a cotton ball to ensure that its effective, otherwise it won't remove all makeup or impurities. Once applied to your skin, it feels similar to a facial oil. After swiping and moving the cotton ball in a circular motion over the areas that you are cleansing, you'll immediately see the makeup/dirt/impurity residue that it lifts gently and easily from your skin. This cleanser is highly effective with clean ingredients, and it's a high quality choice for makeup and skincare enthusiasts!
