I have foot drop so I take this seriously.
I have foot drop from a bizarre staph infection after diving off the Dominican Republic. I was in the hospital for 12 days and almost lost my leg. Since then, the infection killed my peroneal nerve. I first tried the plastic leg devices from hell. Never again.I take this review very seriously because I know how tramatic it is to go from being able to run to looking like a trotting horse or a gimp within a days time. This device combined with a light weight running shoe totally works for me. I bought black new balance sneakers with black laces. When this is attached and I'm wearing jeans or slakes, it is nearly impossible to notice the brace. For business, heavier nice full leather shoes aren't as effective for me. However, I still wear my black running shoes and sometimes if I can tell a new contact notices, I just say, "Sorry, I have a bad wheel right now... " and they don't think twice.I'm a large, former athlete who wears a size 14 shoe so this brace barely fits around my ankle. If you have obese ankles, it may not work. However, you may want to order it. This product could easily be reproduced but, maybe not with the same comfort level but, by parts from home depot for the larger ankle person.Overall, I hope my fellow gimps continue to share information to help each other. (There's a Dallas Cowboy player with the same injury right now. It will be interesting to see what brace he selects.)Regardess, Buy this brace unless you have extremely large ankles... I hope this helps all of you who are in the same situation. God Bless.

Good aid but order replacement Velcro straps at the same time.
These are excellent to use to stretch your feet ss well as hell keep in an upright position too. These also help those recovering from a variety of health issues who are trying to walk unassisted with an aid such as a walker. Balances and helps maintain that balance. The only drawback is sometimes gettting it tight enough to assist on your leg. The Velcro cover that is to be placed through your shoelaces at times needs to be readjusted which can be annoying if you are in the middle of Physical / Occuoational Therapy or exercising as it can interrupt that. The price is reasonable but I did read other reviews that said you might need to order additional Velcro strsos - so consider that in your budget when buying these. I recommend these however I was disappointed that the cost of these did not include replacement Velcro straps or easier adjustments during exercise.

This Works Really Well!
I was prescribed one of the custom foot braces for my drop foot condition, and wore it as I was supposed to, but it always rubbed and hurt the top side part of my foot where the brace curved over it. My doctor told me about these KonMed soft braces so I found them on Amazon and ordered one. It had been such a welcome relief to wear this, with no pain and my foot no longer swells. I will probably be ordering another just to have as a back-up, as I never want to go back to the "custom" carbon fiber monstrosity.I have read where people have complained about the wearing out of the strap that attaches to the shoe. Well, for anyone that has ever used Velcro straps very much, you learn that they wear out eventually. I already had some commercial grade Velcro straps that I use for tying our bicycles down to a bike rack. I was able to substitute one of these and it work perfectly. Actually, it works even a bit better as the Velsro grip is better on these straps.

Good Product that Could Use Some Improvements
This is a good device for a person with foot drop. It delivers as advertised- you very simply attach it to the laces in the front of your shoe and attach it then to the sleeve that you put on your ankle. I have three issues. 1. If you have a small ankle, the sleeve on your leg slides down and constricts the skin on your ankle, making in very uncomfortable. 2. The shoe you wear needs to have a sturdy bottom as regular running shoes with a very flexible sole do not afford enough support and your toes end up getting pushed to the front of the shoe. 3. It only comes in black. Why not a flash tone? And why not white attaching straps to be less conspicuous on shoes with white laces?

Would recommend!
I have severe neuropathy in my left leg and foot, cannot flex my foot, lift big toe and have foot drop. I have an AFO and another higher end brace that work well for running but honestly I wanted to try something that didn’t stand out so much. I know this isn’t made for running but wanted to give it a shot. It has actually worked really well! I use sturdier running shoes and have even run a half marathon with this brace. It doesn’t fix my gait but I don’t think that’s going to happen with any brace at this point. It does loosen throughout a run because it’s velcro but I wouldnt dock it a star since it’s not made for running. Worth giving this a shot. My only suggestion would be to make the strap coming from your shoelace to the brace brace to have a clip instead of Velcro. To me it would be sturdier. You’ll have to judge your own body to know if running would work for you but I felt fine because I consistently run and strength train so I felt itd be worth seeing if I trip or not. Thankfully, I haven’t had any bad trips! I never write this thorough of a review but I relied of them when purchasing this so thought it only right to do the same for others!

Not for moderate to severe foot drop users!
This is a very lightweight (flimsy) brace that is not appropriate for anyone who has moderate to severe foot drop issues. The strap between the brace and shoelaces is thin velcro of dubious strength and no elasticity. Advertised as one size, but it's really for someone with rather small ankles. I did not feel confident this brace would protect me from falls.

Good and Bad
Great idea. It is less intrusive than a full leg brace. But I am on my second one and the foot strap is already failing. It will not hold when walking. I am petite and lightweight and should stay stuck. I bought industrial Velcro that works. Frustrating.

This has been a true life saver.
I've tried them all. Prescription and OTC. This has been the best drop foot solution I've found. I do wish it came with extra Velcro straps, but replacements are available on Amazon.
