18 Quart Electric Roaster Oven with Self-Basting Lid

We purchased to use in our basement kitchen to cook the turkey this year. I worried it would not turn out as well as in the oven, but it cooked perfectly and was delicious! Fit a 20 lb turkey with ease. Next year I will consider lowering the temp by 25 degrees the last 2 hours (we cooked at 325 and it was done 30 minutes early but still very juicy). Frees up your oven for other holiday dishes needing cooked. Very easy clean up.

My mom used a turkey roaster for years, but I'm a bit of a minimalist. So I resisted getting one since Ive had good luck with traditional oven roasting-- well this Thanksgiving, we were hosting some family who I know would need the oven to finish their dishes, and this roaster went on sale for just about half price. I will never cook a turkey in the oven again. This worked amazingly well, getting the turkey and stuffing both up to temperature in about two hours less than usual, and even though it was very well done the near was still tender. It holds the temperature perfectly, and cleans up like a dream when you're done. I can't wait to try a ham in it for Christmas!

First time using a roaster. Worked well but does cook way faster in this than the oven. I’d strongly recommended giving it a quick wipe down before your first use and turning it on for about half an hour under a fan or in a went ventilated area to burn of any leftover dust/debris.

This roaster works great and did well for our Thanksgiving turkey. It frees up the oven for sides and did not loose as much heat from everyone opening the door. I really like the removeable pan that comes out to clean. The only thing to keep in mind is bird did not get browned like in the oven but tasted great.

My regular oven died so I needed a countertop solution while I save up. I bought a large air fryer oven, hoping it would serve all of my needs, but it's not really big enough for roasts with vegetables & doesn't hold pans bigger than 9x13" with straight sides. I have had an electric roasting pan in the past, so I was looking for a larger roasting pan to use when I am making larger meals. I wanted a brand that I had heard of, so Proctor Silex was my choice as I have used their products my whole life. It is definitely a large electric roasting pan! It's actually a bit large for my kitchen sink & faucet, but I can wash it without it fitting in the sink. I had never used my smaller roasting pan with another pan inside the removable pan, so I was curious about it while reading the owner's manual. It comes with a rack that you put the pan/baking on to cook using the indirect heat in the pan. I have used it with the food just in the removable pan, with the food on silicone roasting racks in the removable pan, with the rack & a metal basket with the food in it & water in the pan for steam, with the rack & a pan, etc. It's very versatile!

I bought this to cook a turkey for Thanksgiving Day. It performed brilliantly! The size was very accommodating for the 12lb turkey I purchased. It was easy to clean and the heating was stable and accurate. I followed the manufacturer’s instructions and heated the roaster to 450° for a while a few days before I used it. There was a smell, but it dissipated quickly. There was absolutely no smell, except for the turkey, the day I used it. It was wonderful to have my oven free for other food and baking I was doing.

First time ever to use an electric roaster for prime rib! We were a bit worried, but it turned out perfect! We will do that again next year. It works great when you need the oven for other things during the holidays.

Wish I would’ve found this years ago! Need 2 turkeys and tons of sides to feed large family gatherings during holidays. We’re always jockeying for oven space. Roaster worked well, prepped turkey and just plugged it in. Done perfectly, moist and little cleanup. Put turkey in large aluminum pan, NO plastic bags! See warning instructions. Will use for other dishes!!
