I have several of the translucent Niteangel wheels which I love, and this isn't exactly the same shape but is still a very good quality much like those. I forgot how big it was going to be until I opened it, but my mice are still able to run on it which is all that matters! It really is a very nice looking wheel, I love the slight blue tint to it and the clear bar in the back makes it look extra fancy. I didn't realize I was going to need an Allen wrench to adjust it so I ended up just putting it in my tank on a platform and leaving it at the original height, otherwise it would have gotten filled with bedding very quickly. It doesn't have as much texture to it for foot grip and if my mice stop mid-run, they will slide down to the lowest point on the wheel and their feet squeak against the plastic while they slide, instead of letting them stand in place until the wheel stops swinging. They don't seem to care but it's something to note.I'm sure this will be easy to clean, with there being no grooves for anything to get stuck in it should be very quick to wipe down. One thing I do prefer about the Niteangel wheels is that they have a lip to contain waste, meaning the bedding around it won't end up with a ton of pee on it. Those types of wheels do need to be cleaned more often but I would personally prefer having a dirty wheel that needs to be wiped down more often, than having to frequently scoop out the bedding from around it. If your wheels has a lip and you hate having to clean them very often and would rather clean around it, this would probably be the better option- It really is up to your personal preference, they are both very good wheel choices.Another thing I really like about this wheel is how wide the running space is- two mice could easily run side-by-side if they wanted, and it would be a great option for hedgehogs! If you have a chunky pet that seems to be squeezing themselves onto a wheel that is more narrow, or maybe if you have a pet that is getting older and isn't so great with maintaining their balance, a wider wheel would likely be a safer option.I already have a pretty sizeable cage for my 6 mice, but if I had the room I would love to be able to fit both styles / sizes of wheel in with the rest of my accessories, I will probably alternate between this and my normal wheels to give a little more variety.

If you have any medium sized running rodent, I have a degu, then stop reading reviews and buy this. It is that good!!!It really is whisper quiet. Its a pretty nice size and it is very stable. Best part is you don't even need to put it together.It has one downside and it gets dirty very very easily. Being clear makes it appear worse then it is but, its super easy to clean so I cant complain.I would highly recommend this, it really is a game changer wheel.

This is a solid wheel. The plastic is nice and thick, but it is not hard to move, so it works well for a hamster or mouse. It is bigger than other wheels I've seen, so I think a rat could possibly fit as well. It is solid and does not seem as though it will fall over if it is freestanding. The adjustable height is nice as well. I like that it is clear, and it doesn't seem as though it will get all dingy. This is much nicer than I thought it would be.

This wheel is absolutely awesome. Not only is it solid and heavy enough that it won't tip over but it is SILENT too! It is also very nice looking, especially when in motion and the light catches it.Packaging was absolutely superb, no worries about shipping damage. Comes fully assembled but does include a Allen wrench so you can adjust the height of the wheel.Do yourself and your small pets a favor and just click add to cart. The media could not be loaded.  I was impressed upon receiving this wheel. It comes fully assembled and ready to use. All that you have to do is adjust the height and take the paper off of the bottom. The wheel is easy to clean and disinfect. It is built solid and heavy enough that it won't ever tip over. The wheel bearings glide smooth as butter. Our last wheel was noisy, and since our gerbils are most active during the evening hours, it was driving my son's nuts when they were trying to sleep. This wheel is silent. I ordered the 10.2" wheel, and it is the perfect size- our gerbils are in a 40 gallon tank. They are very happy with this item, as is my family.

We have another wheel for our hamster made by Niteangel and this one by bucatstate is very similar. It's just as silent and made to last. The plastic may not be as thick, but it's still sturdy. Most importantly, our hamster loves to run on it!
