I purchased 3 sets of the 25ft set since each set was less than $8 so I wasn't expecting much but these blew me away! The intent was to add these to the inside of some Lego buildings to illuminate the insides (I have over 30 buildings sitting on the self). Since these LED strips can be cut, I figured that between three sets, I would enough working LEDs to light up most of the buildings. I only need white for daytime and a pale yellow for evening to showcase the buildings. The LEDs are working exceedingly well - the color/temperature is perfect. I can also control the brightness with what I believe is 5 different levels. Again, perfect for my needs. Some comments have complained that the LEDs are far apart from each other. While this is true, this is what I was looking for so for me, this wasn't a con but a pro. PROS: * has an app that works (Android at least) well (the name of the app is hard to remember though) * The app contains the essential features I need (brightness and temperature) * Has reaction to sound which is cool but won't be used for my project unless my Lego people want to have a block party. Hmmm... :) * Not tested but it appears the app can control multiple light strands. You can also assign the strands into groups and control the group which would make managing larger setups easier. CONS (are only with the app - the light strips are great): * The app can do a lot but for my first time dealing with LED and an LED app, I found it confusing. For example, why do I need to upload an image as a background for the app? Doesn't make sense to me, I'm not spending a lot of time in the app so I don't need that level of customizations. * I can change the colors displ row but A) don't know why I would want to B) I can't seem to return the settings to default

This is the only moderately priced gift I can think of that works for teens, kids, boys or girls...they all love these things! My kids, their friends and my nieces and nephews all love these lights. They've used them to decorate their bedrooms, play rooms, and even a home gym. They are so easy to put up and you can use them in a variety of ways. I've seen them used all different ways...up around the ceiling and/ or floor perimeter of the room, around windows/door frames, on the back of the tv so it looks like it's glowing from behind and on the underside of the bed frame...the possibilities are endless-lol! Unfortunately, the first set I bought for one of my kids was made by a different company and we couldn't connect the strings of lights without buying separate connectors. This was super annoying since the set came with multiple light sets and we didn't realize it was lacking the essential connectors until we had already put up the first string of lights. When that set finally got up, some of the lights didn't work, resulting in a very disappointed kid. Bought this set to replace it and it was perfect, went up easy peasy and has worked great ever since. I've bought numerous sets since then for others and they've been a hit every single time.

Never used something like this before, I priced what I thought would work from Home Depot and Meijer. This might be a case of "I don't know what's in the box or what I'm doing" but it looked like I'd have had to buy 4 kits to do my small room as they were like 16.5' each. I was like "What am I going to do with all the extra controllers and PSUs? Then I found this on an Amazon search for somewhere between $8 and $15. There were two rolls of LEDs and I only used one. I have a spare roll but not an extra PSU or controller module. Installs very easy. Damp rag wash the area on your drywall. Mount the module, plug it in. Unroll the entire roll BEFORE lighting up. The instructions say you can damage them if you light them while coiled up on the roll. I loosely pathed the roll around the room's floor, plugged it in. All lit up. Then start peeling the backing and move a small ladder around the room as you place the "lights tape" around the top of the walls. This went up in about 40 minutes only because I really took my time and I had to go up and down a ladder around my room. It could go faster under different situations. Has MANY functions depending on if you use the phone app or the controller. The controller has prebuilt colors by button press, brightness level, on/off, and 4 built in modes like flash, strobe, etc. Phone app lets you do all of that plus many many more built in stuff including a MUSIC MODE. Music mode requires phone permissions to record sound so that the microphone can hear the music or any sounds like a dog barking etc. It then flashes/strobes the lights in coordination to incoming sound. Basically a disco / rave / dance party / whatever you want to call it all in your room. There was more to the app such as if you register with it or something like that forgot because I don't use that part of it, you can get access to your google assistant or alexa with this light system. I am big on personal privacy, so I don't have these sort of "spy devices" in my home. But you can if you like, I just can't give you feedback on that side of it. Totally worth the small cost for so much that they give you. Warning, the box and coils are smaller than I thought when looking at the image. Also the image on the shipping box doesn't match the image on this sales web page. Not a big deal, Just don't freak out when it arrives. I was scared the order was wrong and was like "NO WAY is all of that stuff in this little box". But all is OK. Enjoy

Light are just so beautiful

I had a different set of these kind of lights that I got from Amazon years ago, but they didn’t have anymore, so I got these. (To be clear, I never had a problem with the other set, I just wanted more.) I tested thess out before I even started so I was sure they worked, put them up (a total pain), and turned them on. They still worked, but then I changed the colors… I keep my old set on the rainbow color setting, where it fades from color to color, so I put these on that setting too. But not all of them change. There are 2 sections of a couple of feet that are red. And only red. They literally clash with all the other colors, and stand out and look terrible! Only now they are all up (and adhered, can’t wait to see what happens when I remove them). It took too long to put them up for me to spend all the time taking them down right now. So basically the return window is going to be closed by the time I can get them down. Eventually I’m going to have to face the problem, take them down, and after that I’ll get different ones. These are cheap, true,but they cost me a fortune in time and effort. It’s a gamble, a lot of people give them great ratings. But you could also end up like me!

It’s only been 3 months and the lights are flickering on and off constantly now. I bought two packs. One is fine, the other.. not so much.

Update: dimmer can go very low on all colors with the (V-) button, one more star for that. Perfect for ambiance in my childrens bedroom. It can not be used as night light, the dimmer cannot go low enough.

Terrible product. First it isn't 75', its 3 sections of 25' and it doesn't come with RGB connectors. Second the adhesive lasted about 9 hours before large sections started to come off. Serious waste of money and resources.

I ordered these led lights previously. They worked for a couple of hours then quit. I returned them and re-ordered a second strip of led lights. The second strip showed up without the paper over the adhesive side, so obviously used but working. Definitely not as advertised.
