I store most of my dry goods in jars like these, and this brand is the best out there, in my experience. The sealing mechanism is nice and tight (unlike some other brands), the glass is thick and clear, and they are just a nice, quality product consistently. The 4L size is perfect for those 5 lb bags of flour and sugar. At some point when I have a larger kitchen with more storage space, I will definitely purchase more of this brand. I wish they would make a tall, thinner jar to store spaghetti and lasagna noodles!

Having bought a couple of dozen of these over a few years for kitchen use, I'd like to say the quality has been uniformly excellent. Yep, the hinges are wire, but heavy gauge and sturdy with no weakening, loosening, fatigue or oxidation problems over at least 2 years of use. The glass is clear with few bubbles, and none (Knock on wood) have broken. The rubber gaskets are durable and serve well as an air lock, with no signs of cracking. There are so many sizes are available, one can obtain the right size for any purpose and have a uniform look on counters or shelves. I think the delivered prices are better than competitive. I have found no reason to consider alternative containers.

The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is they sent me a seal that was already cracked and it leaks. Now I have to buy a new set of seals for a brand new jar. Other than that it is well made and sturdy. Works GREAT for water kefir and looks nice on my kitchen counter!

Bormioli Fido jar is a keeper. It's made out of nice thick glass. It doesnt have any extra rubber ring than the one that comes on it, tbats shouldnt be a deal breaker for anyone. Im only using it to store dry goods inside of on the counter for the past couple months, it seems pretty air tight. Unfortunately I really don't know how well it works for canning, I'm guessing pretty awesome.

The Bormioli Jars are the only way I store flour, sugar or other ingredients like dates, nuts and seeds. The seat keeps the food fresh and they make a beautiful display on the counter or store well in my pantry. They give easy access to whatever you store in them with scoops or 1/2 c measuring cups. I do wish that Bormioli would make a square 4 and 5 liter jar to go with the rest. The round ones are nice but take up more room but for now these are the best sealed jars available.

It’s a great jar it holds a lot and it stays airtight It’s a little bit on the large side but it’s better to have too much room there not enough

The box it came was a old Walmart box that was too big and the item rolled around and box got crushed. There was not enough bubble wrap to protect item either. I thought it was undamaged until l opened the lid from the jar, it was full of hairline cracks and totally fell to pieces. The box was so bad l had to fine another one to put it in before l could ship it back. Also, the gasket is only good for one time use. Didn’t see that in the small print. Otherwise, l guess the jar could have been good and air tight.

Love this jar… I bought it for making rice wine and just love it, this brand has never disappointed me. I’d recommend this to everyone looking to buy, all their jars/bottles are the best quality. I have bought different sizes of bottles in the past and they not only look pretty but very good quality too.

Good quality product, cant find a flaw. The product was personally delivered by the sourcing company than by Amazon, earlier than due by an entire week!!
