One of the most crucial important facts about raising a Golden Retriever is that they are "large breed" puppies. They need a special diet when they are growing up to minimise the chance that they will suffer from hip displasia when they are adults. This key fact is not present in this book.What is in the book is waffle. For instance take this gem "Plastic bowls are light, ceramic bowls are heavy". No kidding Sherlock.I got a much more informative folder of information from my Vet free of charge. This book went in the bin.

This book was very cheap and in excellent condition. It is easy to read, well laid out and provides just enough information for a new owner.
