I have an old Hama tripod which I like because it has integral levels - so useful for getting the camera straight for taking photos of my artwork. Somehow or other the clip-in shoe had got lost which meant I couldn’t use it. Did a search on Amazon & came up with this as a replacement. Such excellent value - the plastic seems robust and the screw fitting has a small metal ring on top which helps to screw & unscrew the shoe to the camera. It fitted my Panasonic Lumix camera easily and attached nice and firmly to the base. It then clipped easily and correctly into my old tripod - I was so happy. A great result for such little money.

I had lost the adapter plate for my tripod. This was an equivalent to the original. It fitted fine but did have a bit of sideways slip but to me this would’nt present a problem.As I leave this on my spotting scope I may look to get another for my camera. That way I will always have a plate to attach to

Required some slight modification to actually fit my tripod. Just a rounding of the corners which I achieved using a small file. Now works well.

Well made and fitted my Hama Star 63 tripod like a glove, no problems at all and now I can swap camera, binoculars and telescope easily. Thank You.

I bought this because I wanted to utilise my old tripod bought in the 90’s by my dad when I first took up a camera. It wouldn’t take my dslr Nikon. I can report that this fits my Nikon camera and my tripod has been given a new lease of life. It fits easily on the neck of the tripod after attachment to my camera. Sturdy and well made and good value.

Flimsy plasticky cheap stuffJust wondered where the Chinese comrades made a mistake.Wrong shape- the bottom edges all angled that is the overall size of the base means it cannot be fitted into a standard tripodCannot be bothered about a return so I trimmed one side with a Stanley knife as it’s quite soft and trimmableWould not spend two quid on this next time !!
