There are other brands of tape that can't do that.-I ran running water on the sticky side, and to my suprise, the tape still was able to stick! Now it wasn't that strong after the water.. but still.. comparing it to duct tape, duct tape lost all stickiness!-Same strength as duck tape.-Same thickness as duck tape.-Tears off the roll straight-You can write on them. Now the writing comes off with a rub of the finger, even with permanent marker.-I like the white color. Sometimes you need a white for camouflage.Cons:-Rolls aren't as big as a standard size duck tape. Almost worthy of knocking a star off considering this amazon listing shows bigger rolls.Other Thoughts:-Easy 5 star product!

The tape glued on nicely and is easy to remove air bubble, but it has a rather strong chemical smell that gave me a headache while using it to glue down a long ethernet cable across my living room.If you're sensitive to chemicals, maybe consider another product.Watching to see how long the glue will hold before peeling.

Not the size they said. Funny how black tape they sell is 4 rolls at 20 yards each, and says on label you can clearly see 2 pack =40 yards. So twice the amount of the white tape for less money. They say this is 2 rolls and 40 yards. They don't say 2 rolls =40 yards! And they conveniently don't show label in photo of this tape. Also it is more of a cream or off white color as you can see in photo next to napkin and envelope. White is also the color of label on package. What a scam. My Gorilla and Duck brand tape are actually white. Every other brand tells you the yards per roll, not the total yardage.

This tape is thinner than the traditional Duct Tape but seems just as strong. I had no issues when using it and didn't have any issues with adhesion.With the white color it is ideal for writing labels to place on storage containers. It won't dry out and fall off. The adhesive sticks well to plastic. I used a similar product on black storage containers when I moved and the system worked great. This tape takes the ink in a 'Sharpie" very well without smearing for permanent and convenient labeling.The tape is also very useful for many other day-to-day applications.

Two items in the listing for this tape caught my attention. First the statement “Providing a strong and long-lasting hold even under the most challenging weather,” and later in the listing “The heavy duty tape won't crack, peel, or become brittle over time, ensuring a long-lasting hold.” I had previously used a thin white duct tape outdoors to secure some foam pipe insulation. That tape lasted for a number of years, but the roll is almost empty. I'm hoping the this duct tape will work as well as that tape has. The tackiness of the adhesive seems to be about the same (slightly less than the gray duct tape.) It stays stuck even when the grey tape falls off. The thickness is just about the same. So I'm hopeful. It will be about a year from now when I finally know whether this tape is working as well as the tape that it is replacing. So far it's working extremely well in the last four days of rain that we've had.
