The salesperson advised sizing down 1/2 size, so I got a 9 1/2. Truthfully, they were still too big but they’re well made and casual so I kept them. A few years later, I was ready for a new pair and knowing that 9 1/2 was too big I got 9s. Too small. Go figure. So now, a few years on I decided to buy Olukai Lae’ahi slip ons. Armed with the above inside knowledge I got 9 1/2s. Too small! So I’ve returned them and am awaiting the delivery of a pair of 10s. What’s the moral of the story? Well, for openers, Olukai could standardize their shoes to US sizes overall or, failing that they could at least have consistency between their products,even if they’re too big across the board. Or I suppose I could buy someone else’s shoes or stop buying shoes online altogether. Meanwhile I’ll hope that the 10s arrive soon and fit.
