Joroto MR280Pro Water Rowing Machine
The rowing machine was easy to setup, just had to install the rowing seat. The display is clear and easy to use and adding water to the rower was easy and straightforward. I downloaded the Kinomap app which was easy to setup and start my rowing exercise. The quality of the machine is excellent and oak finish enhances it appeal. The seat is comfortable and makes the rowing experience excellent. I would highly recommend this product.

Beautiful machine
EDIT:Dropped on star since I used the rower with the built in display, it's OK, you can see the numbers fine, I just can't make out what the numbers mean. The stat headings such as time/500m are so hard to read, it could be anything. If only they hadn't put the stupid black box around them and just put the text instead it would be more readable. Also, I don't think the maths add up on the display, suggesting I did 3.5km in 12 minutes, but my 500m split was 3 minutes... should be sub 2 minutes if you work it out.Used this for the first time today, went straight for the kinomap videos, so haven't tried the built in monitor. Did a quick 11 minute paddle down a swiss river and it was tough enough on a low level of water (bearing mind I've not used a rowing machine for years). The water makes a pleasing swish, that kind of sounds like you're actually rowing a boat, which is a nice touch that you probably won't hear if you go with headphones on.The box it came is was super heavy, which made me wonder if the machine would be bulky, but it's beautifully compact and folds up easily. I guess the wood makes it heavy, and heavier still when the drum is full of water. I'm just shy of 6'2" though and it's perfectly sized for me, so not too compact that it's unusable.Downside, the pump for filling and emptying the drum is a bit pathetic and the handle came off in my hand on first use. It goes back together easily enough, but you just have to pump gently, which takes longer. It would also be nice if the drum told you how many litres it holds, but that's a minor inconvenience.Overall, very pleased with the kit after first use. Let's see how I get on with more use and improved stamina.

My experiences of this rower: I come from an educational and competitive Concept 2 rowing background. This unit comes well-packed and is so easy to add just the seat pad that it should offer no one any issues on the assembly front.First off, I have previously owned both a C2 rower and an actual Water Rower and I actually find, that for the home, this rower is just perfect. It is neater than both of the above, takes up less floor space and for me, is an equal to the Water Rower on all levels.IN USE: Zero issue, I like it, I have mine with the max amount of water that is possible and for me, I could do with slightly more resistance but that is just me as on a Concept 2, I would normally workout at level 7-10 and for the more endurance stuff at level 5-7.The foot-plates are great, very Concept C2 like and work a treat, in fact that velcro straps are better than the C2 ones. The bar is fine, good grip and a good shape but it could do with being maybe 5cm longer to allow for people with broad shoulders. The length could also do with being at least 15cm longer for those taller rowers, it is not a problem for me as I am only 1.7m but the smooth action of the seat makes up for it.As an enthusiastic indoor rower, I am really happy with my purchase, I got mine in a Black Friday sale and at that price point, this was a total bargain.

Good value for money
Machine arrived on time, well packed, easy to assemble, with spare parts, tested it a few times already, nicely made, nice wood, functional, got no problems with feet straps, it is necessary to adjust them once or twice during workout but in my experience it is always the case, like the sound of water while rowing, display works nicely, I am very happy with this purchase

A great machine for the home rower
really happy with our purchase of this rower. I'm a home rower, so not a technically-proficient rower, but I love this machine and it has me working out more than I ever have! it's really nicely made. the wooden frame is classy and really fits the home environment. It also folds up nicely when not in use - although we're using it everyday so rarely folding it up!The water resistance tank provides a smooth resistance and the swoosh of the water when you use it really adds to the enjoyment of working out.Great machine and have already recommended it to our neighbours!

Disappointing
The media could not be loaded. The rower itself looks very nice & works well. But the screen is absolutely rubbish as experienced by many others. With in 4 days, it started to show random numbers while in use. Returning now.

Probably a good entry level rower, but not for those looking for a challenge.
A solid enough piece of equipment and good from a kinetic point of view. Some niggles and things that are suboptimal.1) The display is small, has not backlight and is pretty useless. It can not be configured and does not store historical data.2) The bluetooth for heart rate monitors is not working.3) The display eats batteries at a prodigious rate.4) With the maximum amount of water in the machine, the resistance at 28 strokes/minute is not that high. I am not an experienced rower, so was expecting it to be more challenging. I can do an hour at 28 strokes/minute and it will be a medium intensity workout for me (I am an experienced ultra-endurance cyclist, so I do have good cardio base).5) The rowing handle is a bit narrow for me and there is no after-market upgrade option. What’s good? The foldability of the unit is a big plus for storage and I am using it plenty. I will be test driving a Waterrower in London in February, so may upgrade my review one star if that has similar resistance limitations. This will always lose one star for the display.

Good Machine and good Quality
The machine is as you can see in the pictures. Good quality and easy to assemble. If you need variable exercise, it isn't the machine you need as the only way to vary the resistance is by adding or taking out water from the vassel
