Nostalgia
I'll always love this brand. It reminds me of my childhood, as it was the only porridge oats my mother ever used. done the old-fashioned way, too. In a pan on the stove. Sometimes with a spoonful of jam!

Not expensive at all
Don't know why some people thought they were expensive. At ยฃ2.20/pack they were very reasonably priced.

Porage is like oatmeal, but better
I like oatmeal, and I eat it most mornings for breakfast. This is better. I usually make my oatmeal with water and add a little brown sugar. This porage, instead, cooks with milk and needs nothing else. It tastes great and it makes a complete breakfast all by itself. It's from Europe, and they tend to use weights instead of volumes for measuring things like this. I found that 1 cup of porage oats with 1 3/4 cups of milk is about the right weight and volume for two servings. Talk about stick to your ribs: I recommend that you use a non-stick pan for cooking this. I use a small ceramic frying pan (those things are great, by the way), but it still sticks to the pan afterwards. A little soaking is necessary even with a non-stick pan.

Scottish oats are the best.
It was exciting to get a package from. England marked royal mail. I started eating this brand last year and it beats any brand of oats in the us. Was very happy to get the bigger box because I eat this a lot. So very yummy and good. Simply the best worth every penny

It's just oats right? What's the big deal? These are game changing oats.
I always saw these in the UK and wondered if they were any better than Quaker etc. Probably not - oats are oats right? Well, feeling nostalgic for the UK I decided to order a box via Amazon. I will GLADLY pay the premium to re-order through Amazon because these are the. best. oats. ever. I cooked a double serving with half skim milk/half water. The double serving became 1 serving because they were soooooo good. It's the texture - I put nutmeg and a little brown sugar in mine, but I swear they're so good I could probably eat them plain. Soooooooo creamy. As it happened, a few days after I received them I learned I'm going to London for work later this month. I'm bringing an extra suitcase. Not kidding. I can't wait to see how granola, cookies, pancakes, etc. turn out with these. But even if they're only good for oatmeal - excess baggage will be worth it.

Authentic Scottish Oats - but very pricey! Cheaper elsewhere
Love the product, but it's extremely overpriced. This brand is near impossible to find in stores so I settled for buying it here. On my next trip to Canada I'll buy some there. Canadian grocery stores sell the same box for $3.99!

Awesome Flavour
I eat Scott's Porage simply for the flavor. They do not fall apart after cooking, and have a great chewy texture. Flavour is oat-y and nutty. Not a plain pasty flavour. I only add butter and whole milk, nothing else and they taste amazing as is.
