Have You Seen the One I Love: Contemplations on the Song of Songs Paperback – May 7, 2008

This is by far my favorite spiritual book I’ve read. Year after year I always go back to this book and know that even just a few pages give me hope and comfort no matter where I am in life at the moment. If you only read one book this should be it. HH Pope Shenouda describes how beautiful a relationship w the Lord can be “there I will give you my love”.

Such a nice and easy read. Beautiful meditations. Also it is very nicely translated! No awkward sentences. Normally when I read a translated book, I can totally tell how the paragraph was originally phrased like. That's not the case here! Buy this book, you won't regret it.

On of the best read spiritual book which talks about the love relationship between our Lord and our soul as envisioned by Solomon. The is book give hope, direction, guidance in the current materialistic world. A beautiful book which is highly recommended to be read.God Bless Pope Shenouda.

It connects the spiritual love with the daily life of human being. It is the real meaning of Love between the Church and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Based on Lectures that were translated about the Song of Songs, His Holiness describes a relationship between God and Man. the simplicity of the words used in the book and the thought provoking meanings that transpire from such simple verses like "Draw me away" (Song of Solomon 1:3-4) and "I sleep but my heart is awake" (Song of Solomon 5:2) have drawn me in to read more and more and to evaluate my relationship with God.I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone seeking to take that first step in getting to know God, or the person seeking to strengthen their relationship with God.

A beautiful work. Pope Shenouda III, former head of the Coptic Orthodox Church (Oriental Orthodox/non-Chalcedonian) gives some amazing insight into the Song of Songs that makes for excellent devotional reading. If you're desiring to get your hands on some Oriental Orthodox writings, this is a great place to start.

This book is amazing! Touches the heart in so many ways! It discusses spirituality in a way I have never heard. It makes relationship with God seem simple and easy. All you need is love!
