I use this and Paracord 550. I wanted something streamlined. Pros: about the size of a baseball in your hand. You can use a small line if Paracord to pull it. You can throw it further. Doesn't sound like a boulder hitting the water. Cons: when they say something can lift 100lbs (or whatever) that means it can drag that weight up into the air. I have found that things wrapped in weeds/branches or stuck in muck need a LOT of force to dislodge. I pulled a chunk of metal out that weighed 25 pounds on land but getting it unstuck took a lot of work. The magnet felt like it broke free easily. I ended up attaching it and lightly pulling/yanking back and forth. I saw bubbles so I know I was slowly dislodging it. Took about 20 min though. So you might be thinking: "I don't see myself needing to drag up a huge heavy item like a bicycle". Problem I found is you don't KNOW it's a bike. You only know you have found something big and your imagination runs wild "it's a lockbox full of gold!" Lol. So in summary if you are just tossing it off the dock it's fun. If you want to pull anything big and unknown you will need something bigger. My fear was a 500lb magnet would get locked into a pipe and I would lose it (or break the Paracord). I didn't realize a full grown man pulling on a rope can exert the force to break it free reasonably easily. This one I can break free with one hand wrapped around the rope, still it's fun though. Hope this helps. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My new addition to my fishing excursions is great. STRONGHOLD MAGNETS TL60 Fishing Magnet 255LBS Pull Force, 2.36" (60mm) Diameter, Super Powerful Neodymium with Strong M10 eyebolt - Superior Magnetics for Underwater Salvage, Retrieval and Recovery Many thanks,Bruce ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems Like a Good Deal *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2018* I use it for magnet fishing. I use a thin paracord rated at 100 lbs. It isn't heavy. It's easy to toss. I only used it once, and that was on a lake shore with lots of rocks. It didn't get snagged, but I didn't "catch" much either. I hauled in a hook and leader, and a nail. That's all for about 30 minutes of goofing around. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/58353223-powerful-fishing-magnet-by-stronghold-magnets-255-lbs-2-36](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/58353223-powerful-fishing-magnet-by-stronghold-magnets-255-lbs-2-36) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
