I started looking for alternatives to using forks to shred my chicken in the crockpot. I was worried that I would eventually scratch my crockpot. I somehow found these. These work great with shredding! There is enough space been the hole for my hands to fit. The tips are not sharp. I have worked with them while my crockpot is still on and I have not had any melting. They seem to be made out of quality plastic. They are a little bulky. They are so needed when shredding meat, so much better than a fork! I have washed them in the dishwasher, on the top rack, and there has not been any issue.
