Whoever designed this needs to go back to the drawing board, the crank is way to high, i'm 6ft 2in and even I have to stretch to my limit to crank it open, my wife who is below average height don't stand a chance, so can't use it if i'm not there.The listing says you can tilt and rotate 360, the manual shows you how to lift the locking handle and rotate the parasol to the desired position and then lock it down, this is utter rubbish, it dose not work like that, true you can tilt it that way but not rotate it, to rotate 360 you need to loosen the locking nut lower down the pole but it wont lock in place no matter how tight you make it, the lightest wind and it rotates all around making it really difficult to place the shade where you need it.I contacted Amazon and without hesitation they gave me my money back and asked me to dispose of the parasol, make of that what you will.

Initially, we thought this was a very good buy. It felt sturdy, was fairly easy to assemble, and was delivered as promised, on-time.However, we have had to return it due to a fault in the parasol fabric (see pictures) which appeared after 6 weeks.The company ESC were EXCEPTIONALLY quick to respond and suggest replacing the item, however, it had been sold by Amazon directly so they had to refer me back to them for support - which we got of course.

When taken out of the box there was a dent in the steel pipe.When I tried to assemble it there was two of the four bolts missing luckily I work in engineering so have spares in garage (M8 x 20 long ) When finally assembled and weights applied to the bottom the parasol moves about all over in the slightest of breezes ie the top part so if you put it higher to miss hitting people's heads you then let the sun in.Total waste of time don't waste your money.I would have to pay 20.00 to send back so not worth it.

Although looks really nice when erected. If you are a short person like me you need to stand on a stool to put up parasol. The handle is high to do this tasks. Also needs a grab helping hand and stand on stool to put cover on parasol. If you are fairly tall you would have no problem.

I contacted the seller to explain that the parasol is very wobbly due the centre piece not going into place properly. Their response was to send me a photo of how to should be. The only way it slots in place is if someone climbs on the table underneath and guides it in place, while someone else cranks it open. The base is also starting to rust after only a few weeks.

As the weather has been hot I thought this would be great but with a slight breeze even with weights which you have to buy seperately this has blown over so to be honest I'm not impressed with this and the price you pay I'm sorry but the base is nowhere big enough to be a counter balance for the umbrella

It’s a great umbrella , we thought it would be perfect for our mums garden to protect her from the sun but it’s so big that she can’t operate it! Oh no, so one of us will buy it off her!

Appears to be well made. But it does need bolting in place otherwise it will fall over in wind.
