Citronella 100% Pure Essential Aromatherapy Oil 10ml

Great value essential oil with a strong, but pleasant, scent. It is so strong, in fact, that the the smell does permeate to other things (fabrics, etc.) that are stored with the bottle - so do bare that in mind! The aroma lasts for a long time, even when used outdoors. I purchased this to use while camping to try and reduce the number of insects coming inside our communal living tent. I popped a few drops in a small spray bottle with water, then sprayed this around the tent entrance - and it did the job nicely, significantly reducing the number of flying bugs we found inside. (Plus, no bites to report!) Not only does it work well, but I have had no issues with leaking or breakage, despite the bottle being jostled around with our luggage in the back of a van multiple times! All-in-all, absolutely no complaints about this oil and would recommend this if you are looking for a more natural and pleasant-smelling bug repellent.

So beautifully fragrant and yet again not let down by Calmer Solutions. So much cheaper with this company than the premium priced versions at Neal's Yard. I still have the "Spearmint" oil I bought from Calmer Solutions in 2013. I was impressed the last time with Calmer Solutions and this time I'm not disappointed again. The bottles are fairly durable, though fitted with permanent inset droppers. I'm glad Calmer Solutions have stuck to their principles in using dark bottles as the oil won't lose its strength if left out in natural light. Used in conjunction with an aromatherapy vapour machine as well as a water humidifier, the scent of natural citronella is very welcomed this time of year. Shifted the midges that had a cheek to come inside my home after a hot day. They didn't last long with this stuff - after five drops in water and allowed to pervade, my whole home smells beautifully earthy and natural. A very pleasing fragrance that has a good and long lasting factor. If using the oil for massage, it can be used on skin but this product must be mixed with a carrier oil (Calmer Solutions provide loads but the cheapest I use is their "Almond Sweet") if application is made on skin for massage processes. It feels fresh on my skin and has a very strong perfume. Perfect yet again Calmer Solutions - thank you! (C)NR2 2015.

I have to be honest and say i hate the smell of citronella but i hate creepy crawlies and gnats etc even more and living on the back of a river theres always plenty insects in the summer so i gave in and bought these drops to add to my air diffuser and i have to admit i was pleasantly surprised as i didnt mind the scent at all, such a small bottle holds a lot of drops if you follow the instructions. Well worth the price paid and arrived quickly.

I’ve used this stuff for years and it’s really effective. It’s sort of invisible (you can sprinkle it on coloured/patterned carpets and furniture without any spots showing), actually smells quite nice (though admittedly that’s a matter of taste), but above all I have seen flies literally come into a room with this stuff in the air and immediately leave. I now have it both at home and at work. In hot weather without air conditioning and the windows open, it’s a godsend. Highly recommended.

It’s great just unscrew the lid & place it on your table while eating & match it up with a BTL of lavendar same size /& the lavendar keeps flies away & citronella keeps the mosquitoes away They’re brilliant I keep both in a little bag & take them on holiday Wouldn’t be without them!

On the positive side, it's citronella, so the dog hates it (I dilute it and use it to spray on areas that I want him to keep away from). The bottle is also large. On the downside, I understand why he avoids those areas, as it really doesn't smell very nice. I've used citronella essential oil before, and I should have known that you get what you pay for in terms of quantity. This is cheap, and smells it.

As described. Using this in my electric diffuser to help keep flies out. So far seems to be helping

I get eaten alive by mozzies, and was covered in bites. The usual sprays never work and they stink. I wanted a natural solution so I bought this. I put a drop on my hat and on the sun shade. Some on a candle, and I added a few drops to water in a spray bottle and sprayed around the windows and bedding. It worked. Not one bite since. Smells like you would expect but it's a smoother natural smell, not astringent like insect repellent. Great value too.

Me gusta porque es realmente efectiva. La uso de dos formas, la primera en un humidificador que lo pongo en el dormitorio todas las noches y la segunda mezclando unas gotas con aceite de almendra y ponerla por brazos, cuello y piernas. Así no me pican los mosquitos, pero hay que ducharse a la mañana siguiente porque la citronella es foto sensible y puede hacernos reacción o manchas en la piel. Espero haber sido de ayuda

J'ai acheté ce produit pour remplir mon diffuseur plutôt que d'avoir à racheter des cartouches et ça fonctionne très bien. J'attends cet été pour voir si l'effet anti moustique de la citronnelle est au rdv 😉 Je recommande !
