Clippasafe UK Socket Covers (4-Pack)

I bought these to give piece of mind that my dog wouldn't lick the plug sockets (sounds silly, but I saw him doing it once) when he was unsupervised. Bought the first ones I saw and happy with them. They have an opening that allows you to remove them with the aid of a plug alone which means the surface is not flat. I personally do not need this function though I can see why it would be a good idea.If you need to use the plug on a regular occasion, this is a good product, but if you just want the plug socket covered constantly or the vast majority of the time, I would look for one with a flat surface.

Bought these as we had a baby and wanted to reduce the risk of potential accidents. I know UK sockets are supposed to protect from little fingers and things being poked in, but all the same, I wanted some reassurance. My little was playing with my wife's car keys and went to put them in the plug socket (thinking it was a key in a lock).. so I knew I had to buy something to block them up until she was older. Now... these covers do the job, but you need good strong nails in order to get them out. I have no idea why they have designed these to be so difficult to remove as it is a little overkill, when a little lip on either side would help you get your nails under it. So they do the job - but they are not the best designed covers.

These socket covers work exactly how others do i.e. you just plug it in. The difference with these is that it is very easy to get them out - you just use the plug of the appliance you are plugging in to lever them out. This makes it so convenient to plug them in and out. As a comparison, my friend has some that don't have this removing mechanism and she ends up avoding using teh plugs or even sometimes not plugging the sockets back in.A bad point is that you can't buy them outright on Amazon - they have to be an 'add-on item' in an order over £20 that is dispatched from Aamzon. This was ok for me as I buy many things on Amazon so just added them in to another order but can be annoying for other buyers.

Not too much to say: does what it says on the box! Really handy having the easy removal hole, so you can remove them effortlessly with the plug pin when the socket is required. Amazon had the most reasonable price considering these are simply molded plastic, and must be a cheap as can be to manufacture - Clippasafe have these way overpriced! One star lost on general pricing, and it would have been nice to see these being made from recycled plastic!

These white coloured covers look smart and hold well to outlets. I like the idea that you need to use the ground pin to pull them out but that would not work if you have universal outlets and want to plug in say a north american plug. If your outlets are cream coloured then these stand out too much, but it's not a big deal.

Good product, easy to use and more importantly they are difficult to take off!! Happy with the product and would recommend them to any parent looking to keep their kids safe.

At last! A design where you can get the flaming things out easily. You use the Earth pin on a plug to pull the cover out. Works well.

The only negative was that they didn't fit in easily to our power sockets. (our house has wiring dated 2002) My husband managed to fit them in the end.
