all you need for single serve filter or pourover brewing
purchased this over the k6 simply because i only need a single server grinder. grind quality is good. i didn't need a grinder for espresso which i think is a bit demanding for this grinder as is light roasted beans. i brew only medium and dark roasted beans, and for these it does it's job. the problem of static can be remedied with a light spray of water. the body of the grinder is made of a plastic composition that feels very durable and would take considerable, deliberate abuse to break it. it is easy to adjust the grind setting and it does not drift off the setting it is set to by the user. the grind particles are consistent, with remarkably few boulders or fines, and with use the burrs will improve their ability for a more consistent grind due to the seasoning of the burr blades. this grinder is fine and all you need at a very reasonable price for someone that drinks coffee at home, and only needs to brew a couple of cups of coffee each day. no need to go to the higher line of kingrinders (K series), unless you want to serve coffee to more people than yourself,(grinder capacity=20g), or if you want an espresso grinder and you are on a tight budget.

An absolute must for espresso!
I was worried when buying this because I didn’t know if this would go fine enough for espresso, but got it anyway. I’m happy to say that this grinder works great for espresso range grinds! I didn’t really understand the whole “clicks” thing, but I just turned the dial until I determined the grind looked fine enough to start dialing in. It’s nice and lightweight, and easier to grind than I thought. I’m a small woman with practically no muscle, it takes around 40 seconds to grind 18g if I’m going at a normal speed. I would honestly say it does better than my Breville grinder, it’s way more consistent!

Awesome... James Hoffman sent me here.
Excellent quality for the price. Small, simple to use, and has great build quality, it feels very sturdy. It also comes with a silicone grip for the grinder, as well as a small brush to clean away coffee dust. Probably alike many others, I purchased this on the recommendation of YouTuber James Hoffman, and I am not disappointed. I agree very much with his advice that a grinder and fresh coffee can be #1 upgrade for your setup, if you are currently buying pre-ground coffee. Pre-ground coffee becomes bitter quickly as it oxidizes. Obviously, it is less convenient than an automatic grinder: it requires you to manually dial it to the grind size you want each time you use it, which can be a hassle if you like to frequently like to drink different types of drinks (e.g., I like espresso, Vietnamese coffee, pour overs, and cold brew). However, it gets easier to remember the dial adjustments over time, and after about a week of using it, I began to remember how much to turn it without having to reset it fully. Additionally, if you are the forgetful type, there is nothing wrong with leaving yourself a written note of what the current grind size is. This is a great hand grinder for those like me who do not have space or desire to maintain a separate appliance just to grind coffee. It would make a great gift for people who like making their own coffee at home, but are still drinking pre-ground coffee.

Fantastic gateway to pour over or the like at home... Definitely recommend
I've been using this for a while now and thoroughly appreciate it. Given my approach to coffee making (1-3 cups a day on weekends) using a Hario Switch, this is perfect. It does a good job with the grind, it's reasonably easy to use, and it has held up. Quality for the price. A few notes: - Static is real. I live in a humid climate and I still need to get a little water on the beans before I grind lest the static kills me. - Definitely will find that a fine grind starts to get hard to turn. Not, Arnold Schwarzenegger hard, but still not easy. - Wish it weren't plastic and that the top stayed on a bit better, and that it had a slightly bigger hopper. - I would not want to use it to grind for a 12-cup drip machine. For the price, can't be beat, and it was a perfect entry way into home grinding using the Hario Switch. I haven't second guessed the decision once, and very glad I didn't splurge on an electric one. Have recommended it to my coffee snob friends with no shame.

Good quality but takes more strength compared to P0
Grinds very consistently and quickly! I'm impressed by the quality of the build of the burrs and the holding structure. The speed of the grind on the P2 is surprisingly fast, but this also means it takes a lot of consistent torque to KEEP it going. I have issues with light roasts and sometimes needs to back up a bit when I get stuck. Somehow the 7-edge burr feeds much faster than the 5-edge burr from the P0 which I keep at work for drip coffee, it's opposite of what I read online about burrs. It's probably because the angle and the outside ring is different. The P0 I never get stuck with but takes longer to grind. I enjoy hand grinding but an arm injury right now means I'm stuck with using the P0 and no espresso :(

Really Nice Grinder for A hand crafted cup of coffee.
I love having a pour over coffee in the evening with a snack or bag of famous Amos cookies. I bought this, a pour over scale, and a V60 pour over decanter. I refuse to buy beans already ground. Take the time to buy beans that are not ground and grind them yourself. This grinder will hold about 20 g of coffee. You don’t need any more than that for a cup of pour over. The grinder is not made to do a pot of coffee.. NOPE. It takes probably 30 seconds to 45 seconds to get 20 g of coffee ground up. It does what it’s supposed to do beautifully. You can adjust the grind level for how fine you want. It’s a fantastic grinder for what it’s supposed to do. Is it electric no, can you buy your beans already ground yes, but is it the same as putting them in this grinder no… if you are looking to an have amazing tasting cup of coffee buy this. Everyone who has had a cup of coffee from this says it’s way better than any coffee they’ve ever had. Take time to enjoy life, it’s the little things like this that make life fun. Where do the beans go? You might ask, the handle just slides off and the beans go under the handle. See my photos

Portable greatness
I always travel with my portable electric moka pot and used to bring pre-grounded coffee as I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a good manual grinder. That is, until I saw a video review from Hoffman and I decided to give it a try. Ohh wow, this little device is magnificent, lightweight and sturdy. If I had to find a con or a fault, it is that it can leave a mess. I mean, without RDT (lightly spraying the beans with water) which is discouraged by the manufacturer as apparently the internals are very sensitive to water damage, be prepared to cleanup after yourself using the provided brush. It is a very small price to pay for the quality of grind and ease of use.

Not ideal for a moka pot
I watched a review of this grinder by James Hoffman and made me try it. The grinder does work well up to medium grind. Anything above it is hard and not enjoyable to get the coffee to medium fine. It is also for a sing serve of coffee, if you need more you have grinder and that is exhausting to grind a second time, like for my 6 cup moka pot. So if you are making a single serving, and using pore over coffee this works, but not idea for multiple uses or for medium to fine coffee for espresso or moka pot.

Really good output, better than pre-ground beans from blue tokai or starbucks.
Best purchase of 2026 for me. Really good consistency, grinds 18g for espresso within a minute for me. Damn good for the price.

Premium-Feel. Great Results.
I’m pretty new to the world of coffee and learning what makes a great cup. One thing I quickly learned is that, besides the beans, the grinder plays a huge role in the whole process. You can have high-quality beans, but without a good grinder, it’s hard to get the best results. That said, I don’t want to drop hundreds of dollars on fancy gear, so I’ve been investing time researching products to find solid quality that makes a great cup, but without veering into premium price territory. While researching manual grinders, I came across James Hoffmann’s review of the Kingrinder P1, and his video really helped me understand what to look for in a grinder. In his review, Hoffmann said the P1 is a well-built, sturdy grinder that felt premium because of its aluminum body and stainless steel burrs. He was impressed by how consistent the grinds were and also liked how easy the grind adjustment was to use. Hoffmann mentioned the comfortable handle and the portability of the setup, which made it a great option for travel. Overall, he said the P1 delivers great performance for the price and produces really good coffee. That said, he did note that some more expensive grinders offer finer control, particularly for espresso. I figured that if Hoffmann was a fan, it would be more than good enough for me, so I came to Amazon looking for the P1. Enter the P2. When I looked, the P1 was unavailable, but I found the P2 and I’m really glad I did. From what I’ve read and experienced, the P2 feels like a natural evolution of the P1. It keeps a lot of what made the P1 great (solid build quality, ease of use, and portability) but adds a more advanced burr set that improves grind consistency, especially for espresso. My experience: The grind consistency on the P2 is excellent, and the adjustment system is super easy to use, which is perfect for someone like me who’s still learning. I also really appreciate how comfortable it is to use. The body is pretty much the same as the P1, so it’s also compact and portable. The build quality feels solid and well-made. It definitely has a premium feel, but thankfully without the premium price tag. From what I can remember, Hoffmann’s only real issue with the P1 was that it wasn’t super consistent for espresso grinds. Luckily, the P2 seems to address that. From what I’ve read, the P2 performs better with finer, more consistent espresso grinds, thanks to its 7-star burr set (compared to the P1’s 6-star burr set). I’m not an expert, but I’ve loved the results so far as much for espresso as for my pour over coffees. I’m really happy with my purchase. It does everything I need it to, performs well, and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg like some of the higher-end brands.
