Colour chameleon
Arrives quickly, bought formy my son for his 3rd birthday, a lot bigger then I thought, and loads of different things to learn on it.

Fun and educational
Toy is bigger than I expected but not too big for little hands. Usual quality expected from fisher price. Doesn't pick up pale or very dark colours very well and can confuse similar colours such as orange and red. Overall a fun little learning game that I'm happy with. Bought at lower price, would not purchase at full RRP (£37)

Looks great so far
Haven't used it yet a present for my daughter for her birthday, looks great though and definitely will help her to learn her colours more, great size toy also.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED
I bought this for my 2 year old daughter at Christmas but only opened it today to teach her colours as she’s identifying a few colours herself. The chameleon can’t recognise any colours, not even the colour splats that come with it. Total waste of money as not helping her at all.

Nice educational toy
Super cute toy! Great for helping teach your little ones colour names. There are a few different features which is nice so it’s not always have the same sounds over and over, you parents know what I’m talking about! It has a few game options and the sensor works well with other flat surfaces - so if you do loose the little paint splatter disc you can still use this toy. The toy is nice and solid as well.

Pretty dang cool toy that actually teaches your child something useful
Works great and is absolutely one of the more "intelligent learning toys" my daughter has! I try to keep my daughter in the real world a bit more than most parents, but that's not to say she doesn't have plenty of toys to play with. I just don't typically agree with sugar coating and making everything we teach our kids to be so fantasy like, especially if they are not learning anything while they play. Well the neat thing about this chameleon is it truly is fun to play with and it teaches your child all kinds of colors and combinations. It had games, it's well voiced, it will attempt to switch activities to prevent bordum; for the price I got it for its one of the better toys in my daughters collection.I'm not sure why people are complaining, it doesn't accurately scan everything 100% of the time but who cares? It's was a $10 toy, it can actually scan colors and lights up accordingly pretty much 100% of the time if you know what your doing, so what do people freaking expect nowadays? This didn't exist when I was a kid and maybe if it did I would have known my colors at an earlier age. Also my daughter is only 1, she plays with it. I wouldn't wait for the recommended age of 3 if your child is younger, one is old enough. She will probably obviously play with it more when she's a bit older, but at one she likes to scan things with me and plays with the chameleon like she does a doll.

... this for Christmas and has told me its her favorite toy! I have had mixed feelings about it
My three year old received this for Christmas and has told me its her favorite toy! I have had mixed feelings about it, however. Like other reviewers have said, the scanner doesn't pick up colors on other objects very well. This would be fine if one of the games was not specifically about finding all the other objects in the room with that color. Also, the toy is obviously intended for small children, but the games don't give her enough time. Overall, it is fun, and I'm glad I made the purchase. I hope it will help her with learning her colors better. But I don't think it deserves 5 stars.

Great toy!
My daughter is a little young for this, but my niece and nephew love it! They already had a grasp on colours but they have a lot of fun with it. The minor downsides are: there's no volume control (that I could find anyways/found it on the loud side) and would be nice if the paint chips had a little case. Still rated it 5 stars because of how the unique and fun (yet educational) the toy is. The downsides don't bother me much.
