The Justinguitar.com Vintage Songbook: vintage songbook : 50 classic songs for guitar, with performance tips!

I now have four of Justin's song books including the beginners songbook's 1 & 2, The Accoustic songbook and this one. Justins teaching style is so relaxed with the emphasis on learning at your own speed in your own time and with the hundreds (yes "Hundreds") of free complete concise video lessons together with the smartphone app (which is monetised but not essential to the learning process) making him (imho) in the top three online guitar teachers and the best free guitar teacher. I would like to emphasise that you do not need the app, the books and videos are great and the app just makes it a little easier (I think, I don't actually use it myself)If you want to learn guitar you can not do better than these books accompanied by Justin's free online video's.

This is a must have for all guitar players who wishing to learn how to perform pop and rock tunes. The book is extremely informative with the key components of each song explained in easy to understand language. The book is supported by a brilliant website and the author is without doubt the numerous one guitar tutor on the planet. Check this book and you will not be disappointed. No praise is to high for this guy and his books, real value for money.

I have bought quite a few guitar songbooks before but this is the first to prompt me to write a review. Justin has taken a great deal of time and effort to get the everything right - chords, strumming and/ or picking pattern, intro, outdo, bridge, capo placement etc. He even points you to the best YouTube video. The author is clearly a man who really wants to pass on what he has learned rather than making a fortune selling books to guitar wannabes.If I could give Justin and his book 6 stars I would. I have also bought his Acoustic Songbook but I haven't been able to put the Vintage Songbook down yet. Great value for money.

Justin's books are well designed, easy to open and stay open at the page due to the sensible selection of the spiral binding. content is easy to understand and the stuff you really need is easy read at a distance.Beginner level is manageable for me, (a beginner for some time!) Justin includes lots of practical hints on how to play each song. It would be helpful for duffers like me if it could include a chord chart for each song.His choice of songs for these isn't quite to my tastes, which is why it gets 4* not 5*

Excellent tabs, notation, tips, strumming patterns, what's not to like.

This is another fantastic example of the quality resources Justin produces. A great selection of 'vintage' songs for beginners to accomplished players. Justin's books do not just give chord charts or tabs there are useful notes on how to play each song, including notes on strumming patterns and introductory riffs.

Great book Justin is a top man well presented book great tabs 👍

Justin is a bit of a hero who is responsible for many of us,who would have taken up guitar only to give up when the going got hard, continuing and becoming competent first then better.

Justin, the books and you tube videos are great!I would recommend them to any other aspiring guitar player.

wie alles von Justin: Super! habe angefangen Gitarrenunterricht zu nehmen, aber die Zeit war nicht da um regelmäßig hinzugehen, mit den Songbooks von Justin, den Kusrsen und dem online und utube Angebot geht es hervorragend voran. Etwas Englisch sollte man können, er ist aber wirklich sehr gut zu verstehen.

Justin Sandercoe has developed the best overall program to teach the guitar to beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. By far his pedagogical skills are beyond any music or guitar teacher I have ever come across.This book has the songs I grew up with and Justin does a fantastic job of transferring information to the student.Check out his web site; who else offers entire guitar courses on video for free? No one.I have purchased directly from Justin's website all the DVDs he's released and all his books; you will be amazed at how much you will learn from Justin provided you do your part.

Love this book. The layout and organization make it very easy to navigate. Love the choice of chords and tabs. Following along with Justin on You Tube brings the pieces to life. I highly recommend this songbook.
