Professional telescope, but...
The media could not be loaded. This is pretty overkill and overwhelming for a complete beginner, but if you're serious about astronomy, you don't want to settle for those cheap "toy" telescopes.I have another telescope with an "equatorial mount", but it's a "refractor type" (where the eyepiece is on the back)This is a reflector type ("Newtonian reflector"), which uses mirror instead of lenses, which allows for a much bigger aperture (150mm). The eyepiece is also on the front as opposed to the back.One thing that annoyed me about this is that you actually have to build the tripod completely yourself too!! Don't even bother with the ridiculous, convoluted terrible manual - just watch the tutorial setup video to save you a lot of headache.

Janky
The optics were missing in my package I put the rest together thinking that it would be shipped separately maybe but the tripod was very cheaply made and the control knobs were jumpy or sticky it may have smoothed out with the optics bit ill never know as I sent what I had back overall very disappointing

Great Optics
The scope has great optics and I can see great detail of the moon. If your a beginner it'll take some time to learn to use an equatorial mount, but is good otherwise. The attachment for using a cell phone doesn't seem to be very good. I can see things clearly and then connect the cell phone by the attachment and can't see anything. Other than that it's a good scope.

No response from the company after emailing them about a defect.I was willing to purchase the part, but asking for the company to replace.

It has a huge dent in the tube!! I can tell it was used. I want half my money back!

Great quality manual telescope
High quality optics. It may lack bells and whistles of the fancier (and more expensive) computerized telescopes, but to those willing to spend time to focus it on the celestial objects, it allows to see them in high resolution and with great clarity. It does require initial assembly, and yes, watching a youtube video with instructions is essential to assemble it correctly.
