I wish I bought this small scale sooner. It's accurate. It's tiny. It fits on my coffee maker in an inconspicuous way. It also goes down to a decimal, so it's good for other kinds of measuring besides my beans for pour overs. Love it. and it recharges via usb.

TLDR: Buy it. It works well, it has impressive and useful features, it looks great, it’s thin/low-profile, and it’s a great price.Detailed review: I’m very happy with this scale, and it has certainly upped my espresso game by leaps and bounds. I’m able to weigh my beans very precisely down to a tenth of a gram (roughly the weight of a single bean), so my dosing is on point. Also, it fits beneath the portafilter with room to spare for my cup, so I can weigh my shots and accurately measure my input/output ratio. And automatic mode is magic! When the espresso hits the cup, the timer starts running, so I can measure flow rate along with everything else! Overall, super easy to use and very necessary for the at-home barista.One caveat: It acted weird on the 2nd or 3rd day, and I thought I was going to have to return it. The weight would slowly creep up even though I wasn’t adding any coffee. I dusted it off, made sure it was dry, set it on a more stable surface… I still don’t know what the matter was, but it stopped freaking out and it hasn’t really given me any trouble since. Also, I should mention that the automatic function doesn’t always work 100% perfectly; it works, and usually works quite well, but depending on the flow rate, you might get some drops dribbling into the cup and the timer not detect it right away. (I think the timer must be activated according to some sort of algorithm that looks for a certain increase in a certain amount of time, so a slower initial drip rate might not trigger it at first.) Also weirdly, it seems like about half of the time when the weight stops increasing (i.e., espresso stops flowing) , the timer pauses (as I think it’s supposed to do), but other times, the timer keeps running until you manually stop it. I don’t know… It’s a weird glitch, I guess, but it doesn’t really make any difference. The weight is accurate, and that’s the primary thing to keep an eye on.So, is it perfect? No, I guess not. But, it works extremely well and functions perfectly for my purposes. In fact, it’s a lot nicer and fancier than I expected – plus, it’s more affordable and more streamlined than its obvious rival the Acacia.

I have owned that well-known "other" scale for some years, and it recently failed, much to my dismay. So I decided that I'd try a "cheap" replacement. After all, I can buy 7 of these for the price of the other one, and still have money left over for a couple of pounds of coffee. So far I have been very impressed. It seems solid and well built, works perfectly, and I'm back to making my morning espresso with no issues.There are a couple of limitations: 1) It's not quite exactly accurate (by a couple of 1/10ths g) and unlike the fancy one, I couldn't find a way to calibrate it. However, this doesn't matter for my use--all I care about is consistency, not objective accuracy. 2) It doesn't have all the automatic modes of the other scale, so I have to press a couple of buttons rather than just set the cup on it. This is slightly annoying, but I'm going to solve it by putting a shot timer on the espresso machine (which is a better solution anyway).Meanwhile I'm happily making coffee. If it breaks some day, well, so did the "other" one.

Great little scale. Purchased this one because my previous scale finally kicked the bucket after about a year. This one was about $10 more expensive than the previous one, but checked two major quality of life boxes; it's quite a bit smaller compared to similarly priced scales, small enough to confortably fit underneath a breville bambino. It also has a rechargable battery via USB C. Those two features alone make it worth the slightly higher price of any other scale in this price range.That being said, there is one major gripe that I do have to dock a star for. The tare button is also the power button, and it's also just a capacitive button on the face of the scale. So when you press the tare button, the weight reading goes up while youre finger is on the button. It becomes a delicate balancing act of pressing the button long enough for the capacitive button to register, but not too long that it shuts the scale off, and also quickly enough that your finger is off of the scale by the time it tares so the weight reading is correct.The auto timer features is also next to useless as it doesn't start the timer until well after liquid starts to flow, but having to manually start the timer isnt the end of the world (and I honestly didnt even realize it had the auto timer functionality when I purchased it)Another very minor gripe is that, because of the size of the scale, the readout can be difficult to see with the medium sized bowl I use for dosing my beans, but that's just a tradeoff you have to make for the size. I'd rather have a smaller scale that takes up less room on the counter and fits nicely under my espresso machine.

The media could not be loaded. Beautiful and great quality scale. Very precise, easy to use, has different measuring options, timer, it’s small and convenient. Great purchase.
