Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is my second Yellowjacket jack. Works as advertised. Reliable, strong and maneuverable.

This is one very high quality jack. Keep in mind that it says isn't the fast low pumping thing that everyone wants these days but it is somewhat faster than some of the jacks out there. I myself don't want a 3.5 ton rapid low amount of pumping jack thing because that just seems to decrease in durability as you're increasing stress and amount of pressure used in the time of jacking what your using it for. The size is just a little larger than your normal say 2 ton jack, which is what I'm coming from which is quite a nice step up! And it is a very low profile at the front half but then the back half of it tapers back up to height of a normal sized jack and these days with cars getting as low to the ground either just by suspension or with the ground effects and what have you, you'll really appreciate this low profile. Durability is really something on this because it is highly maintainable and heavy duty, the instructions tell you how to add and change fluid and what kind to use to keep this working for a very long time. It works just like your usual jack with the twisting handle to raise and lower the load, so it is easy to use. But it is very heavy, which equates to a high value for money spent to me as it does appear to me. I am so very glad I chose this brand of jack. I'm even going to go with their jack stands of the same 3.5 ton weight rating which look like real overkill as they look so heavy duty! I also looked at their bottle jacks before purchasing this one just out of curiosity and now I found some new uses for them and have a bottle jack from ordered too! But definitely buy this jack! Lol. I have two cars I wanted a low profile high quality jack to work on them. Everything looked right on the description like this was the jack for me, but I was disappointed when it arrived to find that this one still didn't sit low enough for either of the cars I was looking to use them on. I still kept it because the build, strength and ease of use just screams quality. If you're looking to jack up a sports car, this isn't for you. The two cars I wanted to pick up were a 2015 Z51 Corvette and a 2014 Cadillac ELR. Both cars sit too low for this jack to even really reach the outer part of the frame rails for safe lifting. I was able to make it work by using my wife's temporary jack to boost each car up a couple inches and then slide this under. Once that was done couldn't be happier with this jack. The two piece handle is strong and feels great, lifting is a snap, you can drop at any speed you want by twisting the handle, and it didn't move or feel unsteady once both cars were in the air. I got a 3 ton jack because the ELR weighs close to 5000 lbs, so everytime I used a 2 ton jack it made me nervous. Probably overkill and you may not have to worry about a coupe that weights 5000 lbs, so this might be the ideal jack for you. Still gave it 5 stars for overall quality, ease of use, and strength, even though it didn't suit my needs.
