I don't know why this item have such bad rating
To save time for everyone - an easy guide to install Gromphvr kit (since TLDR):1. Start by hooking and removing black round puck covers in the joint cover socket and not from the top digging and prying the spoon covers (which is pain the ass). Don't worry about scratching original pucks. Gromphvr comes with 2 sets to replace it both one black and one silver in style. You will be replacing them anyway.2. Unscrew the joint bolts behind the puck cover.3. Remove the spoon covers.4. (Probably the hardest part). Remove the Quest 2 side socket arms either by pushing on its holding teeths in the socket and bend to the side to snap them out or outright just break the holding teeth if you don't plan to go back to Quest 2.5. Install Gromphvr Quest 3 arms.6. Either install the bobovr spoon covers or Gromphv kit ones. Either one will work.7. Screw and secure the joint bolts. Either bobovr black or Gromphvr silver ones will work just fine.8. Install the pucks of your choosing. Gromphvr comes with both black and silver sets. This one depends on your hand to eye coordination. Hopefully you are not as squirrelly handed as me.Now back to the review. This is probably the very first in reverse surprise I ever got from Amazon, where I bought moderately to poorly rated product and it works as advertised. In the summary to say it works as designed. I have bobovr for quest 2 that needed to be modified but Bobobvr keeps selling their headstraps M3 and M2 to M3 retrofit kits left and right, always sold-out.Here comes in the Gromphvr retrofit fit.Keep in mind I am very disorganized person, wiry very little knowledge of mechanics and tools, but it took me about 10 to 20 minutes to retrofit the headset.Instead of ripping off the original spoon side covers, I actually hooked the black joint covers off and unscrewed them first. You don't need to pry open the spoon covers from the top at all. Just need to pry open the covers on the joint, unscrew the mini bolts and the spoon covers can either be left untouched at your choice or install Gromphvr ones after replacing the arms, then screw in either the old black minibolts or the ones from Gromphvr.

Difficult to install; works well
It's the right price and it works well. The downside is that it is certainly not the easiest thing in the world to install. The one step not shown in the product video (removing the stickers) was the hardest part. A utility knife/blade is what I ended up using. There is very little clearance between the edge of the sticker and the rim of the circle in which it is set.

No Instructions Included, and the Video on the Amazon Listing is Missing a Step
As has been pointed out by other reviewers, after prying off each of the shiny circle stickers, there is a screw underneath that needs to be unscrewed before proceeding. These screws are completely absent in the demonstration video on the Amazon listing. Perhaps some models have them and some don't? I don't know. There is no documentation of any kind included with the product, so you'll have to make sure to remember 1) to come back and look at the Amazon listing again for installation instructions, and 2) to remove those screws under the shiny circle stickers. Also, there are two large pieces of rubber and cloth included that I suppose that I paid for, but I don't know what to do with them. They are visible in the Amazon listing video, but as you can see if you watch the video, they are never used.Apart from all of that, everything works great, and this is a superior product that totally does exactly what it is supposed to do, and does it very well.

3rd Review Is A Charm!
The 1st reviewer was mistaken (just like the 2nd reviewer stated) the circular tabs or metal stickers do pry off with a little effort & are indeed held on by adhesive. But the 2nd reviewer’s issue with the mounting pieces being too snug & popping off was not an issue I had at all. That part & the black replacement metal sticker were the only parts I used from the kit as you can see in my photos. I gave the kit 5 stars because the STRUGGLE was prying off the parts on the Bobo head mount to be replaced, not the replacement parts themselves. And I can’t fault Bobovr either I guess for having such a well put together product. I took a big chance on this product hoping to have a better outcome even after reading the two terrible reviews. I did so because the official bobovr replacement kits would not be available as soon as I wanted therefore I took a chance. I’m glad I did because I’m up & running in 24hrs after ordering. 😁

Snapped after several uses. Worthless junk.

Difficult to install, but work.
3 stars only because I managed to put them on and the functionality is there. However, please be aware that the installation is a struggle. I am very good with my hands and have the tools needed for the job, yet this was a pain and took a good part of an hr. Ended up cracking both side pieces which had to be glued up. Instructions are non existent and video is missing steps. They give you a bunch of screws you don't need as you can just reuse those you removed. Extra stickers for the sides is a nice touch. Not sure if it would be better to save time and get a $45 replacement for the new strap.

Great product
Just a great product. Save me a lot of money I can use on controller protectors. This is by far the best adapter I’ve seen.
