Excellent for ginger and garlic !
I finallyn learned the best way to use this product. It is excellent for Ginger and Garlic. Also, larger items must be cut to size to fit inside the cuplike opening. Great product, great value once you get the hang of it. Also, easy to clean, and keeps me from scraping my fingers when trying to shred or mince. I would highly recommend.

Does not slide easy. Grated my own finger trying to slide the top piece on the first try!

Disliked:A little stiff to move the top, I suspect with use this will get easier. Works wonderful for mincing fresh ginger and garlic to add to egg rolls. Easy to clean. I find this kitchen tool very useful and recommend it.
