Takes a bit of getting used to but works for me while my hand is damaged.
Optical Pen Mouse 2.4Ghz Wireless Optical Mouse Adjustable 800/1200/1600DPI for PC, Laptop, iMac, Android Tablet [Red]In the box.The mouse, USB receiver unit (tiny), instructions on the box. Please note you will need `1 x AA battery to make it work, this fits in the pen mouse body.Set up.Just fit the battery, plug in the USB receiver and switch the pen mouse on. Windows automatically recognises it and no driver disks etc. are necessary.Using.It does take a bit of getting used to as the way you work is different from a tradition mouse. Having a hand injury at the moment using a traditional mouse is quite painful so I thought I would try this as I don’t feel so much pain.Initially I struggled as the layout and fingers you use for tasks are different but after a few days of trial and error I got used to it and found it a decent replacement for my normal mouse while my hand heals. The DPI is adjustable using a small button on the pen mouse body. The scroll wheel is not so fast to use as a traditional mouse but it does work and work well in Office documents and for net scrolling etc. after some practice. It is certainly less of a strain on my hand and I completed more tasks and worked for longer without fatigue after a couple of days of getting used to it. It will work on just about any surface which is a bonus, it has optical tracking technology so it is quite accurate. I also find it easier to use than the tracking pad on my laptop so I will use it with my laptop the most.Overall.An interesting and very useful re-design of the traditional mouse which takes a bit of getting used to but with perseverance becomes quite natural to use. I have enjoyed playing with this and using it for serious work. I would not use it for all tasks and still feel the traditional mouse is the best input device for most tasks but this little guy has a niche market in the mouse world in my opinion. Anyone with wrist joint of finger problems that put them temporally out of normal action could use this as a temporary stop gap to keep productivity up. It is also easy to use with a laptop and works on uneven surfaces. It’s solved a temporary problem for me and at the price asked it is a bargain. I find it hard to overall evaluate it as it is such a culture change but I do like using it now I have got used to it. SO for me to solve my problems at the current time it’s five stars for usefulness and value, however it is strange to use at first but practice makes perfect and I am glad to use it now.

Great for when you are on the move, works on any surface. No auto-power off
i like using a lot, for my laptop and lounge computer. It is not comfortable enough for me for constant use, so my main desktop still has an ergonomic mouse. This makes for an nice alternative holding position for use for an hour during the day. The best thing for me though it that it seems to work anywhere. I can use this on my leg, a tempered-glass table top, the sofa. So, it's now my main 'mouse' for use with the laptop. Some downsides:> The scroll wheel does not have a button in it.> There is no auto-power off, if you leave it on overnight the single AAA battery it uses will be flat by the morning.> Just the two LH & RH mouse buttons on it (so no extra browser page fwd/back buttons)There is a little DPI resolution button just behind the wheel with 3 settings.Certainly worth the money!

Highly recommend
Awesome alternative to a mouse. Just plug and play. Done.

Didn't work
I purchased this for greater control in photo manipulating. However, it failed to work , straight out of the box. I inserted a battery and nothing happened; the mouse was completely dead, so I sent it back for a refund. The fact that there are any number of these on the market; all identical, apart from the trim and decor and all under different brand names had already got alarm bells ringing. While 'made in China' isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as there is adequate quality control in the factories, that quality control isn't always there. Judging by the decidedly varied experiences of reliability (or lack of) expressed in the reviews, I guess that quality control is not a priority in the factories churning these out.The only alternative to these seems to be a Scandinavian pen mouse, at a frankly ridiculously Scandinavian price. I can't understand why the likes of Logitech don't produce a realistically priced pen mouse, as there is obviously and market for it.

It works but cheap lightweight plastic body
It takes a little time to adjust to this type of mouse...however, it does offer an alternative to the normal mouse. The three stars is because of the lightweight relatively cheap construction.

Too soon to tell
Only recently arrived. But it does seem a little strange to use. Hopefully it is just a matter of time, before I get used to it. Arrived before time, and nicely packaged. I think it may be easier to be more accurate with the cursor.

Handy addition to work computer.
Makes drawing regions of interest easier in work.

For the price, is what you would expect
It's difficult to manoeuvre, I was hoping I could write my signature electronically for example, but because it's a mouse, it's bound my the internal mechanics of there computer when it comes to pointer speed on the screen. The buttons could be slightly better located, especially the right mouse button which seems to be a bit on the way sometimes.
