It’s huge. I normally keep it in a closet when I’m not using it when I am not using it because it does take up a lot of space. It doesn’t get so hot on the outside that I’m worried about touching it and burning myself or damaging my counters. It isn’t loud but does make a little sound. I often forget I have it on. My house is filled with big jerky eaters. I dehydrated 6-9 lbs a week. We like it very dry, thin and simple with just salt. I don’t follow the directions in the book for jerky. I turn it all the way up and dehydrate it for much longer than directed to get crisp almost chip like jerky. It doesn’t take 8-9 hours like my 5 tray dehydrator I got from Walmart. I can easily dehydrate meat in 3 hours. I’ve had it for a couple of months and have used it a lot! The machine works great. It’s easy to use. And is easy to clean. When I received it, I washed it, then turned it on high for a couple of hours to get rid of the smell that I read about but didn’t experience. I love it. I hope it works a long time!

This year we grew lots of herbs so I wanted to be ready to dehydrate to further our desire for self-sufficiency. The first time I used it, I dried several things at the same time to test it. It worked perfectly on everything. Of course some things took longer than others so you had to keep an eye on it. It seems plenty powerful and inexpensive to run. Lots of capacity for drying and fits on the countertop while in use. It is pretty quit and overall I have been very happy with it, having dried several more rounds of herbs since the initial first use.

A year later and this thing still rocks. Zero issues. Cooks great. Lots of space. My dogs love their sweet potato treats!

So much capacity. I was using the Ninja toaster oven dehydrate function. I could only do one tray at a time and each run took at least 8 hours. So, I broke down and ordered this one. I am not disappointed. My first run some eye roast about 1/8" thick...same as in the ninja. It took 3.5 hours and was drier than the 8 hrs. in the ninja. It is quiet and the outside doesn't get super hot...I have only used it at 150F. Excited to dry some strawberries. My only complaint is that there is no way to turn off the light unless you unplug the entire machine. The place I have for this has the outlet right behind it so it is a bit of a pain to have to move it to plug/unplug it each time. If there is another way to turn off the light it isn't listed anywhere...the power button certainly doesn't do it. Its not a deal breaker but it is inconvenient. EDIT: I purchased the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ST7ZKWH?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title to make jerky sticks and after I used it I realized I should have bought them both at the same time...

This is a great dehydrator. It has several shelves. There’s a light inside so you can easily see the progress of what you’re dehydrating. It is quiet. I would definitely get another one of these.
