OMOTON [2 Pack] Screen Protector Compatible with iPad 9th 8th 7th Generation (10.2 Inch, iPad 9/8/7, 2021&2020&2019) Tempered Glass/Apple Pencil Compatible

After looking over various screen protector options and reading reviews I selected the Omoton. I read all the suggestions to help with installation which, if you’ve done it before, you know is tricky. All of the cleaning and prep instructions were typical and the equipment provided for that was good quality. Placement is the difficult part. The kit uses a hinge technique and provides 3 adhesive hinges. I followed the suggestion of another reviewer and added 2 more hinges using blue painters tape. I didn’t use a steamed up bathroom just my kitchen table. To help set the hinges I placed my iPad on a clean dishcloth (not terry cloth) and then pulled the cloth toward me until the iPad edge was just beyond the edge of the table. Most of the tablet was still on the table. This way I could more easily apply the hinges and wrap them around the edge and not worry about them sticking to the cloth or the table. I positioned the protector in place per instructions. I then placed the first hinge in the mid-point of the edge and used an eyeglass cleaning cloth to press on the center of the protector against the screen so it wouldn’t move. I then placed the other 2 provided hinges and my 2 painters tape ones for a total of 5. This effectively held the protector correctly in place. I then did the screen cleaning process as instructed. I peeled back the protector adhesive cover and let it drop onto the screen. The 5 hinges held it perfectly in place and the protector adhered correctly. This was a little tedious as anything requiring careful attention, but it was reasonably easy and effective. After the adhesive process spread out there were 2 small bubbles. With a little pressure and the cleaning cloth I moved them toward the edge and they disappeared completely.The first protector I ever installed on a previous tablet used a frame method - the protector is placed in a frame and the tablet in an opposite frame. The two frames are then shut like a book. The protector is supposed to drop in place but it didn’t and I had to redo it several times resulting a couple of tiny specks under it.As a final comment, I really encourage the use of a screen protector. It does protect against scratches and possibly short drops. I experienced something more impressive in my opinion. On a recent trip my tablet fell about 6 feet off of a closet shelf landing it’s corner on a tile floor. The corner was damaged and the screen shattered. The most intense shattering was at the point of impact with thinner cracks spreading out across the screen in a fan. The screen protector held the screen glass tightly in place and I was able to use the tablet the rest of my trip.

If anyone posts a review stating that a screen protector is easy to install, they're either lying, a paid reviewer or have magical powers. Truth is, in most environments, these things are not easy to install. Correction, they're easy to install, the trick is how to do it without bubbles or dust. This screen protector is a good value. You get two, just incase. The instructions are clear and effective. However, let me give you some advice:1. Do it in a dust free zone. An easy trick is to install it in a bathroom that's been fogged up. That keeps the dust at bay. A clean screen is not much use if your protector picks up dust from the air before you stick it on.2. Wear a shower/hair cap. You'd be surprised how many particles may fall from your head when you're hovering close over a screen trying to get every spec of dust off.3. Follow the included instructions. This product uses a sticker hinge technique. That means you line up the protector on the device (with the protective film on) first. Use some stickers on a vertical side to keep it in place, then hinge-off the protector like you're opening a book. Clean the screen as per the instructions and when it's spotless, remove the backing and apply.Once I made sure the environment was dust free, covered my hair and followed the instructions, the protector went on easy with no dust or bubbles. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. The glass seems to be a good quality and is crystal clear. Almost seems like an upgrade from my ipad screen. Additionally, they shipped it well protected in multiple layers packaging and a rigid box instead of a bubble rap envelope, unlike another brand I ordered before this that arrived damaged due to poor packaging. Time will tell how it holds up. But this one is worth the money.

We originally purchased this screen protector for the new 10.2" iPad which we had purchased as a family Christmas gift. Shortly after buying it, we saw that the iPad Air 3 was on sale and we swapped out the 10.2" for the iPad Air 3. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this screen protector would fit both iPads so there was no need to return it!When we opened the shipment, we noticed how well the two glass screen protectors were packaged by Omoton. The glass protectors were seated inside of a nice foam cutout within a very stiff cardboard box about a 1/4 in thick which opened like a book. It's great that Omoton has chosen to give you two protectors in case you break one on your first install or just as a backup if the first one gets cracked down the road. Stickers were included for dust removal and hinge installation. Putting the screen protector on wasn't tricky but does take some patience to make sure that everything is aligned correctly using the tape as hinges. But we only had to try once and the alignment was perfect!The glass is extremely smooth, almost silky feeling. It's one of the nicest glass screen protectors I've owned and I've been using them on my iPhones for years (other brands). The edges of the protector is rounded so there's no sharp feeling when you're swiping from the edge of the screen. The glass is completely unnoticeable as the clarity is just outstanding. I don't even notice that I've got the glass protector on. And it works great with the Apple Pencil! I've also got the iPad in a full cover case and the Omoton screen protector doesn't interfere at all.I highly, highly recommend this Omoton screen protector for your iPad!

Previously bought one to protect my iPad 9th gen less than a year ago and it protected my iPad screen when a bottle fell on top of the screen. The screen protector cracked but the iPad screen was left unblemished.I bought another set to replace the cracked screen protector. It was really easy to apply and hope this time it will protect my iPad screen just like before.I bought the two pack and I think it's great value and it's a great screen protector, definitely recommend.
