President Spincast Reel, Size 6U Fishing Reel, Right/Left Handle Position, Aluminum Spool, Dial Drag System

I bought this for a very specific task.... river fishing with a fly and a float. Using a 7ft UL, 1/8oz float, 3ft leader and a floating fly, this reel does exactly what I need. The trigger allows you to cast a complicated rig like this without needing to work the bail lever on a spinning reel, and as the rig floats down stream you can hold it in place just by squeezing the trigger, then allow it to continue floating by simply releasing. An excellent setup. The drag is very smooth, retrieve rate is good and overall quality is typical Pflueger. Use 6lb mono....that's what the reel is designed for. It works exceptionally well when you use the proper type and size mono.

Best crappie reel ever

I have used this reel for about a month now and it works as it should. The reel is a little heavy for its size, the retrieve is smooth, but the retrieve ratio is a little slow. All-in-all it is better than all the other under-spin reels (trigger spin) I have tried.

Great quality

It casts well and I like the simplicity but it's not great quality. Especially while reeling in.the crank handle is loose and wobbly. I know it was only 50 bucks but there are better reels out there for the money I got this for my daughter so she could get use to fishing and I guess it will work for that

Not smooth whatsoever, consistent issues with line not spooling tightly when reeling in, do not waste your time or money with this

It does everything well. Love the simple comfort of the underspin reel. Great for simple no hassle fishing or as a backup to your main fishing reel.
