Amazing patterns!
My first introduction to Sheryl Thies' Tunisian crochet patterns was when I purchased Get Hooked on Tunisian Crochet -- Learn How with 13 Projects. Not only were the designs easy and inspirational, the instructions were concise and easy to follow. It is still my "go-to" for any questions I have concerning Tunisian crochet terms and instructions. When I heard that Sheryl had a new publication coming out, I begged Martingale to allow me to review it on my blog ([...]). This pattern book is amazing (imagine italics and bold lettering on "amazing"). I can sincerely say that I would make most of the patterns either for myself or as gifts; and, once again, the designer has included clear and concise instructions. I have already started one of the projects and can't wait to finish it as I have already purchased yarn for the next one. You can purchase the hard copy here or on Martingale's website or an ebook from them as well. You will not be disappointed regardless of the format you choose. (If you don't have her first one, Get Hooked on Tunisian Crochet, purchase it as well.) P.S. Prior to previewing the book through Martingale, I had pre-ordered it here. I can't wait for it to arrive.

Thies does it again
This is a worthy second volume on tunisian crochet. The instructions and photos are clear and interesting, the projects attractive. My only quibble is that she doesn't use stitch diagrams. While not all projects need stitch diagrams some of the more complex patterns would benefit from the clarity they offer. Most of the projects are scarves and ponchos, with a couple vests and cardigans. I made the lacy "fan dance" scarf in a light fingering yarn that turned out very well.

A must buy
This is a must buy for those who are wanting to learn Tunisian crochet.I bought it along with Get hooked on Tunisian Crochet. This book has been very help. The written and pictures are very helpful The best! I started crocheting this time last year, self taught and became interested in Tunisian stitch. Just looking through the list of books on Tunisian crochet I chose these books and can now do the Tunisian stitch. It is a beautiful book. Loved the pictures, plan to start a project soon. A MUST BUY!!

Great Duo
I bought the first book, "Get Hooked on Tunisian Crochet" when it was hot off the press. It was wonderful. I bought this one, "Tunisian Encore" as soon as it was availble also. It is the perfect sequel to the first book. I learned Tunisian Crochet over 45 years ago but never got beyond the basic stitches and techniques. Until now. I recommend these books to my Tunisian Crochet students. Will there be more sequels to this series? Oh, Please! Tunisian in the round! Greater variety in the types of patterns! These books are a good starting place. Please expand on them.

New to tunisian crochet style
I am new to tunisian crochet style of needle crafts. This was the main reason I chose this book so I could learn the stitches at my own pace. The stitch instructions are very simple to follow which is great for a beginning individual. I would recommend this book to any who would like to try somethng new in needle work.

Fresh ideas
When I first went through this book I was very excited. Everything looked so good. When I slowed down and looked again, I decided that I wouldn't really wear most of the things in here. I am going to try one of the sleeveless sweater patterns. The directions seem very clear.

Tunisian Crochet Encore

great followup to her first book
This book, like the first one has quite easy to follow instructions with really nice items that I really will make both as gifts and for myself. Love the free shipping when you order the correct amount. Sheryl's books really are must haves in your library of Tunisian Crochet patterns and how to's.

Good fun, I enjoyed it!
The headline says it all - the book has patterns that cover both fine (laceweight) to chunky yarns in easy to understand instructions. It also has a range of difficulty levels on patterns, and something for most levels of crocheters. Most of the patterns work really well worked in different yarn thicknesses (with adjusted hook sizes, naturally) than suggested, and area easy to adapt. Especially that nifty ruffle scarf on the front cover - works up as a lovely shawl using a very large hook and a proportional amount of chunky yarn, by the way.Two warnings: one, you will need a good double-ended hook for the bigger projects... two, you may need to warn your loved ones that there may be an increase of crocheted items coming their way (and most of them based on the patterns in this book).
