Its patented symmetrical suspension design allows for user-tunable mass adjustments, enabling optimal performance in compact enclosures without additional amplifier power. With a slim profile under 3 inches, it integrates easily into home or mobile audio setups, producing deep, dynamic bass free from port noise and distortion. ## Description The Earthquake Sound SLAPS-M12v2 is a tunable passive bass radiator that significantly increases subwoofer efficiency and ability for ultra-low frequency reproduction without additional amplifier power or enclosure volume. Designed to perfectly complement all good quality long throw woofers on the market, SLAPS add up to +6dB of bass compared to regular sealed and ported enclosures. The benefit of SLAPS being user-tunable is that they can be integrated into virtually any subwoofer/enclosure combination. SLAPS (Symmetrically Loaded Audio Passive System) overcomes the limitations known from the conventional sealed and ported enclosures that tend to limit excursion. As the name indicates, SLAPS is built symmetrically, distinguishing it from traditional or other inferior passive devices on the market today. SLAPS technology integrates a dual structure of identical opposites in its suspension design, resulting in identical properties in both the negative and positive pressure domain. The high efficiency and performance are a result of the pneumatic coupling between SLAPS and an active driver. The unique and patented design of SLAPS allows the active driver compression-free excursion, resulting in a deep, dynamic, and powerful bass response. ## Features - Increases subwoofer output and efficiency without additional amplifier power or enclosure volume - Patented design that allows for new subwoofer design possibilities where even small enclosures can be tuned to low frequencies - User-tunable for optimum performance for a wide range of enclosure sizes and musical preferences with preinstalled 270g mass included - Can be integrated into virtually any subwoofer/enclosure combination with a slim mounting depth of less than 3 inches - Adds up to +6dB of bass compared to conventional sealed and ported enclosures; Enables deep bass from a compact volume without any annoying port noise ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B079R5Y73X | | Additional Features | Increases sound pressure level (SPL) | | Antenna Location | Subwoofer enclosures | | Audio Driver Size | 12 inches | | Audio Driver Type | Dynamic Driver | | Audio Output Mode | Stereo | | Best Sellers Rank | #91,832 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #472 in Home Audio Subwoofers #587 in Monitor, Speaker & Subwoofer Parts #29,769 in Music Recording Equipment | | Brand | EARTHQUAKE | | Built-In Media | Product insert, SLAPS-M12v2 passive radiator with mass installed, Warranty Card | | Color | black | | Compatible Devices | Desktop, Television | | Connectivity Protocol | wired | | Connectivity Technology | wired | | Control Method | Touch | | Controller Type | Corded electric | | Customer Package Type | FFP | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 31 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Metal, Plastic, Wood | | Is Waterproof | False | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 2.25"D x 12.37"W x 12.37"H | | Item Weight | 2.1 pounds | | Manufacturer | Earthquake Sound | | Material | Metal, Plastic, Wood | | Model Name | SLAPS-M12v2 | | Model Number | SLAPS-M12v2 | | Mounting Type | Flush Mount | | Number of Audio Channels | 2.1 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Speaker Maximum Output Power | 10 watts | | Speaker Size | 12 inches | | Speaker Type | Passive Bass Radiator | | Specific Uses For Product | [POSSIBLE] home audio systems, car audio upgrades | | Subwoofer Connectivity Technology | Wired | | Subwoofer Diameter | 12 inches | | UPC | 689759101642 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 1 year limited | | Warranty Type | Limited | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | Wireless Technology | No Wireless Communication Technology | | Woofer Diameter | 12 inches | ## Product Details - **Audio Output Mode:** Stereo - **Brand:** EARTHQUAKE - **Connectivity Technology:** wired - **Mounting Type:** Flush Mount - **Speaker Maximum Output Power:** 10 Watts ## Images ![Earthquake Sound SLAPS-M12v2 12-Inch Mass Tuned Passive Bass Radiator for Home and Mobile Audio Subwoofer Enclosures - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Y0V2RZmrL.jpg) ![Earthquake Sound SLAPS-M12v2 12-Inch Mass Tuned Passive Bass Radiator for Home and Mobile Audio Subwoofer Enclosures - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71HXNRN3ExL.jpg) ![Earthquake Sound SLAPS-M12v2 12-Inch Mass Tuned Passive Bass Radiator for Home and Mobile Audio Subwoofer Enclosures - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61MalsbfC1L.jpg) ![Earthquake Sound SLAPS-M12v2 12-Inch Mass Tuned Passive Bass Radiator for Home and Mobile Audio Subwoofer Enclosures - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61rK0N8uzaL.jpg) ![Earthquake Sound SLAPS-M12v2 12-Inch Mass Tuned Passive Bass Radiator for Home and Mobile Audio Subwoofer Enclosures - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71YQm8xq9WL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - EARTHQUAKE Sound SLAPS-M12v2 12-Inch Mass Tuned Passive Bass Radiator for Home and Mobile Audio Subwoofer Enclosures - LUORNG 5Pcs 10A DC-099 Power Jack Cord Socket Threaded Female Mount Connector Adapter with Pre-soldered Wires and Waterproof Cover Cap, 5.5 x 2.1 MM - (Real 18AWG) 10 Pairs 12V 5A DC Power Pigtail Barrel Plug Connector Cable, 2.1mm x 5.5mm Male Female DC Pigtail Connectors for CCTV Security Camera and 12V Power Supply Adapter by MILAPEAK --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart?
