Lychee 1M /3 ft Neon Glowing Strobing Electroluminescent El Tape Belt Flexible Bright Neon Light for Costume,Parties, Halloween ,Chrismas,Home Decoration

I bought four of them on Monday evening and they arrived on Wednesday, so it's already looking good. I've bought the Lychee blue 3 meter EL wire (blue) as accent lighting on my bike, and I decided to use these to upgrade it, along with some other things.I've opened one up to have a look at it and it looks great! The reason it is only four stars is the one I opened up has a small black thing on the EL paper itself, underneath the rigid plastic cover. It's near the end and doesn't stand out from a distance, but is still noticeable because I'm looking for it.I've had these on for a few weeks now, and they've withstanded a lot! THe battery boxes have been rained and have been hailed on, along with the strips and they are still working (but I don't recommend using them in wet weather), they are also bright enough to be seen without being distracting.

I buy a lot of LED lights and was really pleased to find this "strip" LED light. It's perfectly flat, not rounded off at all. It's bright but not overly which makes it nice and subtle.With all of these, there is a whistle/tone that comes from the battery pack - I've tried replacing it and running from USB but they battery pack has a chip in it that makes the lights work - without the chip - no glow !Great product, really sturdy and great value.

Don't get me wrong - it's spooky really how something so thin can produce this sort of light. It's not like LED brightness but it's definitely visible in anything but bright sunlight.Downside is the high pitch whining noise - which at first I thought only came from the power box (if you put your ear to the actual strip it also outputs a small amount of same pitch noise).If you are going to use this somewhere noisy (cosplay probably, or club) then it would be great! But, if you want to have it in living area/computer lights and area in anyway sensitive to high pitch noise then it's noticeable. Every one I asked in my home said they could hear it when a meter or 2 away and it was annoying to them too.

Used these for a music video - they aren't very bright and don't register on the camera very well - this might have to do with them being battery operated. Also the remote switch is very temremental and the wire connections are easily broken - I had to break out the emergency soldering kit four times as the wire connections kept falling out.Unless you're using them for occasions where you don't move I would not reccomend this product

Great bit of EL for my TRON fancy dress outfit - worked a treat :)
