Good fun and lovely packaging
Played this with a group of 4 of us and it was lots of fun! The packaging and little bits included was well designed, they’d even gone to the bother of crumpling the receipts a bit which was really cool. I’ve bought the other more “popular” versions of case files that are essentially a thin folder with some paper for the same price as this and I’d much rather buy this again. Not too tricky, but still took us about an hour or two, just good fun.

Really fun and enjoyable
Got this with my partner and we had a great time completing it. Putting together the puzzle was fun and it had a good level of challenge where we didn’t feel hopeless but it also wasn’t super easy. Would recommend!

Great fun
Nice to do something different on an evening, loved all the evidence packs and objectives set. Definitely would look at purchasing a different case

Overly simplistic
I love mysteries and was brought up playing board games so this appealed to me despite what I thought seemed a hefty price tag. It’s disappointing. My husband and I have finished this in an hour and a half. We started off by overthinking the clues (wasting a lot of time) and eventually by envelope 3 of the 5 had learned to look for the glaringly obvious. It became quite dull by the end as everything did just jump out at us, with no thought having to go into at all.The Instagram accounts aren’t needed so if you don’t use social media don’t worry, you get cards with the screenshots on, the accounts themselves hold no more information than is given in the game pack. The QR codes do take you to hints, should you need them. It’s possibly fun if there’s a few of you and you’ve had a few drinks, but it’s definitely too easy for sober adults to solve! The game is nicely presented but it’s expensive as you can only play it once.

Great fun (no spoilers)
*For ages12+*1-20 Players*Gameplay 2.5 hours in product notes (although it took longer than this when we played)*One time playAs someone who enjoys watching old Sweeney re-runs and reading a good crime novel this game looked intruiging. I realised straight away it would be a one time play and given the price was £29.99 at the time I ordered, I did wonder whether this would prove to be an issue. With this in mind I would definitely only buy with a view to being able to pass it around family and friends. The game itself is excellent though, I've never seen anything like it before with authentic props all contained within five large envelopes and the option to scan QR codes to help you solve the case. The attention to detail is superb with a fake passport, newspaper clippings, and finger prints to study amongst other props. The box it comes in opens like a drawer and they even put a fake coffee stain ring on one of the envelopes! There is a small instruction booklet, again with a QR code if you want to view how to play, and on the back page there is even a QR code which lets you view the original order of evidence in case you do want to pass this game on to someone else.I don't want to give anything away so won't say too much more about the gameplay, but I played it with three other people and we really did have a great evening trying to solve the case. I would say it took us around three hours or so but we took our time and had lots of discussions. You will probably need to revisit previous evidence as you go along, we did anyway, and it is going to take up a large chunk of your day/evening, but it is great fun and given it is recommended for ages twelve and above it isn't an adults only game and can be enjoyed by the whole family. Have someome on hand to scan the QR codes though.I have marked this down because it is a one time play and it is quite pricey for something that only provides 2-3 hours entertainment, but that is the only issue, it is such a well made game that can even be played solo which is rare. Have never seen anything like it before and the QR code aspect gives it a modern twist. So in summary I would definitely recommend this game but *only* if you can pass it on to others.
