BYE BYE TO ICE TRAYS ! ADIOS TO H2O DILUTED DRINKS ! SAYONARA TO HUGE BAGS OF ICE HOMOGENIZING AND CONGEALING TO MY FREEZER !!!I am obsessed with these stainless steel cooling cubes! They seem to retain an ice-cold temperature outside of the freezer much longer than regular ol' frozen water. And you don't have to wait for them to get to a totally frozen temperature to use them if you're in immediate need or a hurry, as they are always in a solid state will still stay cold for a long while. They are actually comprised of a fairly thick hollow stainless steel shell, which permanently encloses some type of liquid filling most of the cavity within (I assume water but it could be oil? I'm not entirely sure) so you can shake them when they are room temperature and feel/hear the slight sloshing around due to a small amount of air. That may be something that could be problematic in very warm or tropical climates if left out of refrigeration for long if that liquid were to evaporate. But I haven't noticed any sort of expansion or contraction affecting the integrity of the casing in a moderate climate here in the USA!I am so glad I got a chance to try these, I had never heard of something like it before and always seemed to have a pain-in-the ice more often than something nice-cold. If you ever have cold beverages you would like to stay cold without watering down, aches and injuries that could benefit from a cold-pack sans getting slowly soaked, or anything that could use the glacial touch, sustained cold or that which is readily chilled... so basically if you are a person living in the 21st century who uses conventional methods of eating, drinking and first aid...I BET YOU HAVE HAD A PAIN-IN-THE ICE PROBLEM AND THESE ARE THE BEST SUBSITUTION SOLUTION—— GET A METAL SET AND FORGET GETTING WET. FOR REAL.

I've gotten into these whiskey stones, or the idea of them anyway, this is my third set. The first set was two large balls, they were way too big to use in a drink glass. Then I got a set of skull shaped stones, they were much better because they were a much smaller than the balls, probably a bit smaller than a regular ice cube so a good size for glass, but they only came 6 in a pack.Now these, like the skulls are the right size, like the skulls they are a little smaller than a regular ice cube so as not to be too big in a drink, and I rather like they are regular cube shaped. What I also like about these is that you get 16 of them for about the same price as the 6 skulls, I wish I had found these first.So why only 4 stars? Because the description says "Packaged in a transparent gift box..." - they are not, they come individually wrapped in cellophane in a cardboard box. The balls came with a plastic box to keep them in, the skulls came in a cloth bag inside a wooden box, these are just dropped in a cardboard box. That is also why they only got two stars for "giftable".Otherwise, of the stones I have tried, these are the best of them for size and value.

I drink my whiskey neat 99% of the time, but guests often want it cooled.Solid value. Enough in the kit to split them with my best friend. I wish I had caught they were filled with liquid instead of being solid stainless steel. I have others that are solid.

I have a small freezer that is usually too full. I’ve never been able to keep an ice tray because there just isn’t a good place to put one before it’s frozen. These “ice cubes” are great because they don’t need to be flat or risk spills. I just throw them in a ziplock bag to keep them clean and together, and tuck it in an open spot.

I’m not a fan of these . The size is too small to actually cool a drink. You would need one than 1 . I should have gotten the bigger size. I’m always thinking I may accidentally swallow one of the pieces

I use these molds for Halloween chocolate. The same mold from another seller I got last year wasn’t great quality but these are amazing and have a nice and tight seal in between
