Fantastic Device for the Price
Let me preface this and say that I have used this device specifically for golf which I play super casually. I have also used this to test map a distance around a lot which I have done previously with a different range finder. The result in short is that this is a fantastic product for the price with a lot of nice features. This thing charges with a USB-C cable (thank goodness we still are not using USB-A/Micro-USB or have to swap out batteries since this is rechargeable. The range seems to be pretty accurate. It compares to the more expensive range finders that one of my friends had and we tested it while playing golf. It is extremely easy to use and you can adjust between different mods as well as meters/yards. It also has a speed feature which was really nice. I didn't get to test it out to the full extent as I didn't really need to use the speed feature so I cant' say how accurate or well it worked but it is still easy to swap and use the mode. To give you an idea of the size, the device pretty much fits completely in your hand and holding it is not awkward. It comes with a case and a clip attached to it so you can clip it to a bag or on your body and a cleaning cloth which is a nice addon. I just keep this one in the bag in case I ever need it. All in all, this is a very solid device and I am very happy with the purchase especially with golf. I hope to be able to use it on other projects/recreation in the future. I plan on taking it hiking with me just to play around with it.

Fantastic Value vs. the Alternatives
I recently got my hands on the Flysocks Golf Range Finder, and after using it for a few rounds, here are my thoughts: Pros: โข Great Range: This range finder is impressive, measuring distances up to 800 yards. Itโs been super helpful, especially on those long par-5s where you need precise measurements. โข Long-Lasting Battery: The battery life is fantastic. Iโve gone through several rounds without needing to recharge, which is a big plus. No one wants their range finder dying mid-game! โข Slope Adjustment: The ability to switch slope adjustment on and off is a game-changer. Itโs perfect for casual rounds on hilly courses and can be turned off for tournaments where slope readings arenโt allowed. โข Strong Magnet: The built-in magnet is a brilliant feature. Itโs strong enough to stick securely to a golf cart, so itโs always within reach and easy to grab between shots. โข Compact and Lightweight: Itโs small and light, which makes it easy to carry around. I just pop it in my pocket or attach it to the cart without worrying about extra weight. Cons: โข Target Dot Visibility: One downside is that the target dot can be a bit hard to see at times. This can lead to false readings if you miss the pin by just a little, which can be frustrating. โข Learning Curve: Thereโs a bit of a learning curve to using it, especially if youโre new to range finders. It took me a few tries to get the hang of aiming it correctly and reading the measurements. โข Lacks Advanced Features: While itโs great for basic use, it doesnโt have some of the fancy features like GPS or Bluetooth that youโll find in more expensive models. If youโre a tech lover, this might be a minor letdown. Overall: The Flysocks Golf Range Finder is a solid piece of gear. Its excellent range, battery life, and handy slope adjustment make it a great tool for improving your game. The strong magnet is a bonus for those who like to keep it on their golf cart. Sure, the target dot visibility and lack of advanced features are a bit of a drawback, but for the price, it offers fantastic value and reliable performance. If youโre looking for a dependable range finder without breaking the bank, this oneโs definitely worth considering.

Really nice product for an entry level rangefinderer
I don't have any other rangefinder to compare this to, I'm also not using this for high precision applications, mainly for range finding for airsoft and real steel ranges. I think is a great quality item, I have held other brands like Vortex, Leupold and a few others and this feels as good of quality. It's fast to find the range and simple UI to figure which setting you need. Also the magnet on the side is nice to keep on my bags, I'm sure this is useful for golfing too. For the price, it's very nice and I recommend for generic range finding. The screen is easy to read, and bright for daylight and night time scenarios. slope functions works well.

Not a Golfer
I am an outdoor bird and wildlife photographer/hobbyist. I am terrible at guessing distances. Especially when the subject is across a field, marshlands or in a distant tree. This item takes away that guess work. For the price, unit is built very well. Optics is really clear; information is easy to read and manual focusing is smooth and quick. Function buttons are nicely placed at the top and the auto shut off is a plus for me. It comes with a nice hard case with multiple connecting options. Charges via USB C cable (included) and the battery last a long time. It's been out in the field multiple times and have had no issues so far. It has proven to be a good buy for my application.

Great for rangerfinder, great value.
I use rangefinders for hunting and shooting applications. I have had several expensive name brand rangefinders so it's not really fair to compare them against something a fraction of the cost. Rangefinder seems well built and is easy to use. Comparing it against a Sig Kilo 2000, they read within a couple of yards on every measuring test. The controls are well laid out and easy to use. The eyepiece is adjustable. It comes with a good case. Areas for improvement: The lack of illumination is the biggest thing. It's not difficult to read the screen, but an illuminated display is really a good thing to have. The optical clairty leaves a bit to be desired, but again, for the price you can't beat it. The overall size is not large, but it's not tiny either. Overall, this is a good unit and would meet the needs of anyone needing to quickly measure distance to a target.

Very nice quality range finder!
This is a high quality range finder with excellent accuracy. From what I've used it on the distances seem spot on from objects a few yards to hundreds of yards away. I probably won't get to use it on a golf course until spring but it is great for hunting. It also works great for disc golf if you don't mind the measurement in yards or meters. The semi-hard case is nice with a variety of attachment options and there is a strong magnet on the side of the device itself which will be nice for sticking to the cart while golfing. The battery life is long and I love that it is USB-C rechargeable!

Durable rangefinder that just works
I finally decided to get a rangefinder after my brother told me how much he liked his. This was very reasonably priced (after coupon), and so far I am really liking it. It is well built, and includes many features such as distance (yards/meters), height, and angle. Distance to flag is the primary mode I used. The size of the rangefinder is good, it fits very comfortably in my hand. It is a little akward to use while wearing glasses, though not a deal breakter. It just doesn't seem as comfortable/stable as when you the eyepiece right up against your eye and can stabilize it against your face. I imagine this is an issue with all rangefinders though. The LCD screen is clear and easy to read once you get your eye properly aligned. The distances shown were very accurate as best I could tell, good enough for me anyway as an intermediate golfer. I found the vibration it makes when it locks on the flagpole to be very helpful. It was a relief to see that it uses the newer USB C connector for charging. Too many devices still use the old usb connectors and I look forward to when this becomes the new universal standard for USB connectors. Battery life is great, no issues at all there so far. The construction of the rangefinder body is solid and well designed. It feels like you could throw it against a wall and it would be just fine, so dropping it isn't likely to do anything to it. The built-in magnet was handy since it made attaching the unit to my golf cart a snap (pun intended). It's small and light enough to simply carry in your pocket as well (my preference). The included case has various methods of attaching it to your golf bag, cart, or even your clothing. It does have a little heft to it when the rangefinder is inside, so the latter may not be ideal. Most of the time I just left the case attached it to my golf bag via the included carabiner. Make sure to read the the instructions carefully to understand how the different modes work and what to push to access them. I would have been lost if I tried to figure this out through trial and error. Be sure to give yourself some time learning to use the rangefinder and it's many features. Overall, I am very happy with it. It's compact, looks cool, and does what it's supposed to.

Great Value for a Range finder
I've been using the Flysocks Golf Rangefinder recently, and itโs been fantastic. It seems pretty accurate, measuring long distances with good precision which has really helped my game. The quick and reliable readings are a huge benefit. One feature I love is the battery life. It lasts a long time between charges, and the USB-C charging port makes it easy to power up without dealing with special / proprietary chargers. The design is excellent โ lightweight, durable, and waterproof, so I can use it in all sorts of weather relevant to me in a wet/rainy Vancouver. The magnetic strip is strong and handy for attaching to my golf cart. However, it does get a little warm in direct sunlight, but itโs not a deal-breaker. Switching between the measurement modes, including flag locking and slope compensation, is straightforward once you get used to it. The interface was a bit tricky at first, but I quickly got the hang of it. Overall, Iโm really impressed with its accurate measurements, long battery life, and user-friendly features. Itโs a reliable tool that enhances my golfing experience, and Iโd recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality rangefinder!

Great
So far. Very good. Better than an a phone or app because you get accurate range to green. Some tell me that their watches are good but I keep being asked to zap the pin because you can't tell whether the pin is at the front or back. Also good to range hazards and ballistic range. Big battery in this one also

Fantastic
Have had this quite awhile now. It works perfectly everytime I use it. Price was considerably cheaper than others but the quality is not lacking at all. Have recommended it to a number of my golf buddies.
