Add in 3 full-strength 120V outlets on the back, plus Anker's reputation for high-quality products, and this is a five-star product for sure. They've even kindly used a right-angle wall plug so that it can fit flush. The product talks about surge protection but you have to dig a bit to find that it's 300J, which is minimal, but that's ok, the risk is low and I don't have real expensive stuff plugged into it. Just remember that you're always going to get the most power out of a AC block on the back, so if you can, utilize those before doubling-up on USB ports on the front. Note that this is a heavy item. Over one pound, with a long cable. I find it perfect for my desk, and perfect for traveling, but it is a bummer to allocate more than a pound of expensive checked luggage space to this extension. My first purchase of the Anker 525 came defective less than a year after purchase. USB power output on the front stopped working. It sounds like this was a known issue. The other answers are not addressing the actual question. The unit does not convert power, but it will pass 240 VAC to the 3 outlets without issue. Make sure whatever you plug into the outlets can handle 240 VAC and you'll be good to go. An easy way to do that is to inspect individual devices - if they say 120/240, you're good. I have used this unit in Europe many times. All you need is an adapter on the plug to connect it to the wall. After that, each individual device will be powered by 240 VAC, so make sure they can handle it.
