I have a littman cardiology 4, but found myself working as an equine vet tech, and needed something that i wouldnt be upset if it broke or got lost at work, while still being sensitive enough for me to do ICU checks on the horses without questioning what I am hearing. This stethoscope works great for both, even over the noise of the barn fans. If you need something lightweight and cost effective, but works well, get this one. Note it does have a pediatric bell, if you cant hear make sure you have set your stethoscope to the correct bell before saying you cant hear from it.
