Perfect. On my second pack of these (need more of them) Really simple batteries tend to last over 1 year. Did have one that didn't read humidity correct but otherwise all good. Didn't stop me from buying again!

Took out of the box, checked batteries & pressed on - first & third ok & work as expected. 2nd on I tried - nothing on screen; changed the battery & came on but the screen does not display. Be aware.

It didn't inspire confidence that even after they had 'autocalibrated' (? however that works), the three of them showed different temperatures and humidities, by up to 4 degrees C. After a while they settled to a smaller discrepancy of 1 or 2 degrees with each other, but also a similar remaining discrepancy with conventional analogue thermometers. Very slow to react to changes, I have two sitting on the shelf in front of me which read 21 and 24C . The real temp is 23 in my living room, but I only brought one in from the kitchen ten minutes ago and it's still showing 21. Basically they are neither accurate nor reliable. The displays are also hard to read unless you have a strong light shining on them and even then it is the humidity which dominates the display, not so interesting to be honest.

After looking at the other reviews I was a little put off by some, but went ahead anyway. My three units were simple to set up, calibrate and give very similar readings. Humidity in the room initially was stable at 47% or 48% across all three units. After turning on a humidifier they tracked each other up to 59%, never disagreeing by more than 1% at any time. I don't know how the number would compare with an expensive piece of kit, but I was after a clue as to how wet or dry the air was, and these seem to track changes in a useful way. Temperature across the three units never differ by more than 0.9C, and each tracked the change when the central heating came on, staying in close agreement. So, for very cheap units, they seem quite good so far. And for those complaining that they can't read them in the dark there is a simple solution - turn on a light!

Living in a damp flat, these are very handy to have in each room to control the moisture..... One of them died within a week though and needed a new £2.50 battery.... I await the other 2
