My husband said we would keep it
He thinks it will be ok for sun/weather protection, but does not think it will insulate or make it more efficient. If it is great, I will check back in.

Better than expected
I got this to insulate my pump during the cold Midwest winter since I keep my hot tub outside. We had some temperatures get below zero and hover around there for about a week. The tub stayed around 97 degrees and never froze up. I was worried since they say not to leave them outside in these temperatures. But it got cold too fast for me to drain it and I had gotten this cover in the fall. It looks thin and cheap but it kept that windchill at bay. I highly recommend getting one if you have fluctuating weather like Missouri.
