Burns Original Cat Chicken and Brown Rice is a complete, hypoallergenic diet that is suitable for both adult and senior cats. This diet has been produced using high-quality natural ingredients that are easily digested and naturally preserved so is suitable for even sensitive stomachs. Burns Original Cat is rich in B vitamins and contains all 11 essential amino acids including taurine to support healthy heart and eyes. Highly digestible ingredients such as chicken and wholegrains help to support and maintain healthy muscles and bones as well as a healthy immune system while the controlled levels of protein and minerals help maintain healthy kidneys and urinary tract. Suitable for both Adult and Senior Cats.

BAG NOT SEALED completely -batch number 17331
The bag arrived opened slightly near the handles . There seemed insufficient glue to seal it. As it was opened I did not want to give it to my cats incase contamination had occurred .Check your bags before to you give the food to your cats . There may be little holes or slits or openings that have lead to contamination. I have had bags before ( not from Amazon) with small slits in them. There is clearly a need for Burns to address this packaging ( or storage?) problem. I also had 2more bags from a pet shop that had the same problem . Amazon did a good job in rapidly sending me a replacement. The replacement was good and was a different batch number.Burns cat food is generally very good product and I have been happy with it.The product would have got more stars were it not for this open seal problem .2nd APRIL 2018 UPDATE...I asked Burns customer care if they had fixed the poor seal/ glue problem and they said they are still using same bags / glue etc until they have been used up.I found this worrying.They have acknowledged glue inefficiency problem but they still say the cat food is still acceptable.I disagree.My concern is that bags of food MAY have very small unsealed bits that are big enough for contamination to occur but too small to be easily visible. If so i worry that contamination could occur with potential allergens including eg storage mites.If you don't want to risk the 2kg bag because of the potential inadequacy of the seal , it may help to know that you can 400g bags from Burns , that are in plastic packaging and are sealed differently. I hope Burns decide to fix the seal / glue problem .

No concern for animals
My cats have had this food for many years. This particular bag they wouldn't touch- thought they were being fussy or on a Dreamie rampage- so I encouraged them to take it over the last few weeks. They had their regular checkup and it turns out they'd lost weight. The vet thought it could be a bad batch of food. I've given them something else and they're eating fine. I feel awful for giving them bad food.I contacted Trusty privately to let them know and was met by a complete lack of concern. They told me it's not their problem as if there was something wrong with the food they would have had other complaints, and that I should go to the manufacturer direct. This I have done as I dont want other animals to be affected. The expiry date was Feb 2021 so I wonder if it had gone off or been stored incorrectly. I feel other buyers should be aware of their lack of concern for animals. Any supermarket would issue a refund and apology when a human takes back food unfit for consumption or with any concern whatsoever. It seems Trusty do not have that same attitude when it comes to feeding animals. They did not express concern for my cats or offer a refund. Very sad. I won't be using them again, and in fact won't be buying any pet food from Amazon again as it's clearly not a safe place to get it.

Mixed feelings
I'm not sure what to think. I got a sample of this cat food from a pet store which my extremely fussy cat LOVED... so I bought this duo deal from Amazon but he won't eat it! Not one piece. So I'm now stuck with 2 bags. I don't know if it's different from the sample or if my cat is just being a pain!

Won’t be ordering again
Food ok. But delivery service shocking. Took day off work and got the usual “ we tried to deliver Your parcel... “ so the following day got a text that parcel was on way. Eventually received about 2 hours after this.

Cat hated this food
Our cat would not touch this food. We love the dog version and assumed that the cat food would be just as good. Unfortunately our cat would rather starve than eat this so we have gone back to our old brand.

Open on delivery!
This needs to be sealed differently, it was slightly open when it came so it probably altered the freshness cat did not eat. I have heard that this is good food so I'm guessing it just wasn't fresh as had been exposed to the air for who knows how long!

Great value for money
Value for money but for me personally it made my cat sick a few times. I think it sits heavy on his stomach
