super solid, great value
If you have two kayaks and need a solid solution for wall storage, this is the product for you. I was a bit hesitant to purchase it because there were no prior reviews on amazon - and I couldn't find any reviews anywhere else on the web. The racks (there are two sets with the purchase) install VERY easily and are rock solid. We have two top-of-the-line kayaks that we wanted to be securely stored in a location in our basement that was out of the way for the winter but easily accessed during our spring-summer-fall kayaking months. The racks are designed to store the kayaks on an angle (which I originally was not a fan of, but turns out it occupies much less space), and a safety strap is included on each bar (which fully alleviated my concern about the angled position). Both bars (in each set) are identical; there is no "left" or "right" bar. We deliberately mounted into studs on the wall, and placed the two sets one above the other, accounting for some additional space to accommodate the angled positioning of the kayak. Our kayaks are 13 and 14 feet long, and we positioned the distance between the left and right rack of each set such that they were about 3 feet from the each end of the kayaks. Worked beautifully. And the price is right (purchased on Amazon). I don't believe you'll find a better-designed product with this level of ease of installation for this reasonable price.

These are nice, however
These are nice, however, I have roll-up garage doors and they extended out past where the rails for the garage door were. As it worked out, they didn't need to be that long, so I cut them off and they work perfect. The straps keep the kayak (Strait 120) tight against the wall so there's no concern that it would fall off the arms after I cut them. Worth the money. Haven't experienced the others, but I didn't want to pay more than double the cost of these just to store our kayaks on the wall. These are great!

Returned. Install was a bit complicated, ended up deciding we didn't want them anyway.

SUP and KAYAK very strong and versatile
I have a very large SUP 12' long 35" wide and heavy glass, the sparehand works well with minor modification because of the size of my board the upward tip becomes a pressure point on the surfboard surface which is not desired I bought a 6 ft length of black foam pipe insulation biggest diameter available at my local home center, i put it over the existing padding on the sparehand and cut it just short of when it angles up now I have a flat surface to support the width of my monster board with no pressure point, I also use it for my tandem Malibu two sit on top kayak which is wide and heavy it mounts in at a slight angle and works well for both heavy sup and kayak. For the price this is a good choice, adequate steel construction, about the only feature I would like as an option is maybe an aluminum or stainless steel option for heavy salt environment

Works well and worth the $
I got these to put up my 17' tandem kayak. It weighs just over 70 lbs. and is pretty large in all dimensions. The kayak fit easily on this rack, and I don't feel that it was anywhere near the weight limit. I'm glad the straps are there otherwise I wouldn't feel good about the such a large kayak staying up there in a strong wind.I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the poor quality hardware (brought up in other reviews) that strips too easily.

Very nice product
I purchased the twin set for my two dagger 10" kayaks. The product came in the time frame as stated.I decided to not use the provided wallboard anchors because I REALLY didn't want these to fall off the wall. So, I got out the stud finder, located all the studs on the wall, determined the proper length of boat compared to the weight displacement, and mounted the supports to the proper studs. Since I was mounting an additional support system below the other, I determined the angle and measured the widest cross section on the kayak for proper distance between sparehand supports. The system went in fairly easily and now the boats have a proper home when not on the water. I would recommend this product. Can also be used for multiple other support systems, such as ladders, lumber, or long heavy tools! I love the product!

Perform as described
The racks stick out about 23 inches from the wall and I wasn't sure I was going to like having the wider racks. The side wall in my garage doesn't allow for a lot of space. Once I installed them and got my two 12 foot kayak's in the air, I was quite happy with the outcome. See images. They are sturdy and well padded, and very easy to install.
